Thesis Title: Carousel Brainstorming and Students’ Classroom

Assertiveness

LESSON PLAN
Date: December 13, 2016

I. Objectives:
At the end of the lesson 85% of the students should
be able to:
1. enumerate the different parts and functions of
the male and female reproductive system.
2. construct a concept map showing the male and
female reproductive hormones.
3. appreciate the importance of reproductive
system in human body.

II. Subject Matter:

A. Topic: Reproductive System
1. Concepts/ Science Ideas: Two different
Reproductive System are Male Reproductive System consist
of Testis - Produces sperm cells, Scrotum - Sac of skin
that holds the testis, Penis - Deposits sperms into the
vagina during mating, Vas deferens (tube) - Carries sperm
from testes to urethra, Urethra - Carries sperm and urine
out of the body, and Glands - Provide liquid in which
sperm can swim with three kinds: Seminal vesicle -
Secretes a fluid that makes up most of the components of
the semen, Prostate gland - Secretes a slightly alkaline
milky fluid that is discharged as part of the semen, and
Bulbourethral gland - Secretes a thick and clear mucus
that lubricates and neutralizes the any trace of acidic
urine in the urethra and Female Reproductive System
consist of Ovary - produces egg cells, Oviduct or
Fallopian Tube - serves as passageway of eggs from the
ovary to the uterus; site of egg fertilization, Uterus -
97

serves as site of egg implantation; is where the

fertilized egg develops and Vagina - receives the penis
of male during mating.

2. Process Skills: enumerating and contrasting

3. Value Focus: Appreciating the importance of

reproductive system.

B. Materials: textbooks, powerpoint presentation,

cartolina, and fountain pen

strategy and giving of the
prepared answering materials.

Teaching Procedures:
 The students are divided
into 5 groups. Each group are
assigned to every station with
a particular topic.
