PERMANENT PARKING
Thanks to UTMB Administration, the majority of parking fees are paid by institutional funds. Parking Facilities will assist you
with parking needs. Below are the guidelines:
• $22.50 to $37.50 per month for garages (based on location); $12.50 per month for surface lots
• First month must be paid upfront and then payroll deduction will take over. Using the payroll deduction is a requirement for
the subsidized rates. The advantage of handling as a payroll deduction is that you will be exempt from withholding taxes.
• If you currently hold a parking space, you must reapply to qualify for the subsidized rates.
• There are a limited number of additional parking spaces so assignments will be on first come-first serve basis.
If you are interested in applying for parking, the following items are needed in order to pre-register:
____1. Complete a parking contract form (found online, please see link to Parking below)
____2. Complete a payroll deduction form (found online)
____3. Check for first month $12.50, $22.50, $27.50, $32.50 or $37.50 (depending on choice) payable to UTMB

Please be sure to double check that you are sending in all necessary forms and payment. Incomplete packets cannot be

UTMB Graduates:
For those of you who currently have a parking space with UTMB Parking Facilities, other than a student parking permit or G4
Rooftop, you can keep your current parking space. You must complete and return the appropriate forms to qualify for the
subsidized rates.
PLEASE NOTE: If you are assigned to rotations/shifts at the Emergency Room during your residency, you should use your
regular parking space. The parking spaces at the ER are for residents taking call from home and require a special parking permit.
Tickets are issued to those parking illegally.
