thank you in advance for your patience as we coordinate plans. We will be
sending out meet information, including qualifying standards and procedures in
the coming days.

We are also pleased to have Zach Lampert returning as our Meet Director.

MAJOR UPDATES FOR 2021

· DIVISION II (Friday) and DIVISION I (Saturday) will be run as separate championships

· Standards from the spring season and/or any competitions achieved while running for
your school in the winter season including Indoor performances will be accepted as entry
standards.

· Standards have been introduced for the Relay events (to be released soon)
· Entry Fee structure (10.00 per athlete per entry, $25.00 per relay event per gender–
Maximum of $175.00 per school per gender

· Meet procedure and facility Covid protocols (to be released soon). The VISAA’s regular
Track & Field guidelines for this season have been sent to A.D.s and coaches.

· Standards for entry are based on the already developed 2020 Standards with
modification made to some events where the performances published on MileStat in early April
were below the participation numbers needed for the State Finals. For events where we don’t
have at least 16 in the running events and 12 in field events at the close of entries, we will invite
the next eligible competitors from the Rankings present on Milestat at the close of entries for
each division (more details to follow).

· The Games Committee will be working with Sportsbackers to allocate pre-determined

team setup areas along the outside of the track area. The Games Committee will have a
process, based on team size, of assigning teams to certain areas to ensure we meet capacity
limits and physical distance protocol.

· Entry tickets for spectators must be purchased online through Sports Backers Stadium
Management. Tickets will no longer be available when the capacity limits for this venue have
been reached. Links will be released as we get closer to the competition.

THANK YOU to the Track & Field Committee member for their time, energy and Zoom calls to
make this happen.
