STORY TELLING SCRIPT-THE GREEDY KING

Once upon a time, there lived a king. He had a lovely princess. The
king loved her very much. He was also greedy for gold. The king often
said to himself, “If all the gold in the world belong to me, we would
live more happily.”One day, when the king was praying, he made a
wish.He wished that if all the things he touched could turn into gold,
he would be contented. The king’s wish came true. As soon as the
king touched his walking stick, it turned into gold. He touched his
chair, it too turned into gold. The king was very happy, because in the
palace, everything touched by him could turn into gold. He was very
thankful to God.Not long afterwards, a tragic thing happened. The
king could not eat anything, because all his food and drinks turned
into gold as soon as touched by him. The worse was that when he
stretched out his hand to pat the princess, his lovely princess also
turned into a gold statue.On seeing this, he was very sad. He
regretted that he had ever made such a wish.One day, the king made
another wish. He prayed that if his princess could come back to his
life, he would give up all the gold happily.The wish again came true.He
touched the princess,she moved and hugged the king.All the other
things in the palace turned into its original self too.Since after,the
king never liked gold anymore.
