Silly of me, I thought the pandemic and lockdown meant more sex for me,

sadly I was mistaken.

My sex life unfortunately, like many other areas of my life, took a hit during

these frustrating days of quarantine and social distancing.

I noted, as I became more fearful about the virus, passionate sex had to

wait. Because most of the stages of the sexual response cycle such as

excitement, orgasm, and resolution involved close body contact with my

partner, because he works in the health field and I work in the health field, I

was wary of having sex with him.

We broke up, I then went through a dry spell… This was due to not having

the same social avenues as I had prior to the pandemic. I don't choose to

connect with people via dating apps or anything like that, and even if I did, I

don't know their history, sexual, or as it relates to the coronavirus.

Other people that I know who are going through it during the pandemic,

obviously have to practice monogamy… No new situations, no new friends,

no situationships, in my August Alsina voice.

I'm not saying that I do it, I do, though, but self-stimulation can help people

get through this phase as it is obviously the safest alternative to sex as it

eliminates the risk of getting infected by the coronavirus. Since the

fastest way to contracting infection is through close proximity to an

affected person, can also help you maintain a safe distance.

Another factor, one does not come up often, is how one's mental health

status may affect their sex life. Mental well-being and comfort are

important determinants of perceived satisfaction in any sexual

intercourse. During the current scenario, many people may experience an

increase in their levels of anxiety, apprehension, depression, and obsessive

rumination as this may directly affect the performance during sex.

So do what you got for yourself, protect yourself, not just from the

coronavirus, but sexually transmitted infections as well. And don't take the

word of another regarding their status, most people lie when they have an

infection.

I hear it all the time.

“ I can’t stand Charleston”. Then sit down, and decide how you can make

it more pleasurable.

“This place is too crowded”. Yet, you’re still here, complaining. Go figure.

“They only support certain people”. Are you doing your due diligence and

supporting others, though? Doesn’t always have to involve money.

Sharing or liking a social media post, or simply attending an event is

quite effective, too.

Have you ever taken a moment or two to simply explore this beautiful

place? Or are you so overtaken with disdain for it, you simply don’t care

to? I spent some time a few weekends ago “playing tourist” downtown.

Took a stroll on King Street, spoke to actual visitors, heard some great

music, enjoyed the night air, enjoyed being a Charlestonian. It was an

eye opening experience for me, even at 45 years of age. I almost felt like

a little kid discovering something new. Initially, there was a wonder that

overtook me. But then sadness began to envelop me.

We don’t celebrate our city, or the citizens thereof, the way that we

should. We don’t “put on for our city”, a place rich with culture, history

and soul. We don’t protect our brothers and sisters the way that we

should in this city. And that is unacceptable.

And it’s because we don’t care enough about our city. Because lots of us

feel like the city stopped caring about us. I know that gentrification has

left a lot of us with bitter tastes in our mouths. But the fact of the

matter is that we are still here, and we can still show love to Charleston,

and all of its beautiful locales, as well as its citizens. It’s never too late to

make a difference, and be the change that most of us want to see in the

world.

We owe it to ourselves. And each other. Start living, loving and exploring

this beautiful place again. You might be surprised at what you find.

 I loved it.

I like King Amir's Verdict the best. I wasnt understanding

the meaning behind the first one with the doll.

Enjoyed every minute. Loved to see my people doing big

things.

I watched it on Amazon PRIME but it wouldn't let me

review it. I like all of the stories.

How does someone come up with all these ideas who

doesn't live in Los Angeles or New York?

I love this woman's entrepreneurial spirit. I went to

school with her and I remember her magazine, it is crazy

how her GeeChee One Empire is now including films that

are on television and in movie theaters.

I love how she is giving local people a chance to shine,

many of them who never probably would have been in

this type of spotlight without her assistance.

I never knew people from the lowcountry has so much

talent.

That’s what will be said about this young, talented, amazing dancer we

got the chance to interview. She shares with us some of her biggest

inspirations and how it was being in a competition with the world

known “Dancing Dolls.”

At what age did you started to like dance?

•I started to like dance at the age of 5, when I took some ballet

classes at my elementary school.

Who or what are some of your inspirations?

• Some of my inspirations are the Dancing Dolls, Beyoncé, and

Michael Jackson.

Who is your biggest fan?

• My biggest fan has to be my mom. She comes to every competition

and always make new clothes to wear with my pictures on them.

How does it feel to have girls, younger and older, looking up to you?

• Having younger and older people look up to me and cheer me on is

very inspirational! It keeps me going and I never want to disappoint so

I always give my all.

How did it feel to be in a competition hosted by the Dancing Dollz?

• Going to a competition hosted by the “Dancing Dolls” was very

intimidating and exciting all in one. We went against a lot of amazing

teams and it was a great experience.

What do you want to be when you

grow up?

• When I get older, I’d like to dance

and act. I’d like to be a lead dancer

on a famous person’s tour.

Is it hard to juggle school and dance

on a daily basis?

• Managing school and dance isn’t

really difficult. My coach wants us to

put grades and school first. She gets

our interim reports and report cards.

She also, works with us if our grades

aren’t the best they can be.

What do you like to do in your free

time?

• In my free time, I like to make

TikTok videos and research new

dance moves to learn.

What do you plan to do with dance?

• With dance, I want to be a very well

known choreographer. I want to be

able to host workshops in different

states and teach other dancers.

Meet Mc Snillow he is an activist, humanitarian
and hip-hop artist from West Africa. Snillow
which means, “soldier of light” uses his voice to
help bring positive change in society. MC Snillow
devotes his life to bringing awareness to the
real issue in Africa which is tribal and
religious war. “Tribal war is a situation where a
tribe feels more superior to the others and wants
to dominate other tribes in the country. I also
call it tribalism.” describes Snillow. MC
Snillow is from Biafra Nigeria; a territory of
the Eastern region of Nigeria. Biafra, officially
the Republic of Biafra, existed from May 1967 to
January 1970. During the Nigerian Civil War
almost two million Biafran civilians died from
starvation caused by the Nigerian government
which blocked them from resources. After the war
Biafrans surrendered to the Nigerian Federal
Military Government (FMG). Today the government
has partnered with the Fulani Tribe. The Fulani
Tribe have sworn to take over people’s lands with
foot soldiers killing other tribes everywhere
turning them into slaves in their own indigenous
land and communities. “The government will arrest
you if you lay a hand on any Fulani man that
attacks your community.” MC Snillow explains.
“The desire of perpetual control of people’s
lands and resources made the Fulani form various
terrorists' groups like the Fulani herdsmen,
Meyitti Allah, Boko Haram, Islamic state of west
Africa and so on.” The Nigerian government has a
greed for oil, and they don’t care who has to die
for them to get it. They are robbing our people
of everything. The tribalism has our brothers
and sisters of Nigeria living in fear and things
must change! In 2016 MC Snillow started his own
record label called The Kapon Empire and also The
Kapon Empire Foundation. “Our mission as Kapon
Empire records is to help develop young artists
and help give a flight to their career.” The
Label started with many artists, but was later
cut down to just two, Dona Don and PG, which like
MC Snillow their music promotes change.
The Kapon empire foundation mission Snillow
describes as “simply putting smiles on the faces of
our people through humanitarian services.” The
foundation has an annual event called “KAPON EMPIRE
GET SOME EDUCATION CAMPAIGN “. Which is used for
means to get kids back to school with books, and
other school supplies. The foundation has been able
to take kids off the streets and put them in
schools. The foundation also helps the elderly of
the community by providing health care provisions
for them and for the children. Mc Snillow also has
the Kapon Empire Widow's Outreach. “The idea is to
provide support, food, cloth and shelter to old
widows and other elderly ones who have no one to
cater for them. In the future, we intend to build
an old people’s nursing that will take care of our
elderly people.” Mc Snillow is putting the work
into his community to inspire change. 2018 he
released his debut single - “I still see no change”
The song got a lot of recognition, but was banned
for the song's political content. The government
from Nigeria banned the song from hitting the air
wave because the music was considered a threat to
the promise for change. Even though the song was
banned Snillow did not give up and independently
released the song. “Instead of change we ended up
in chains.” MC Snillow continues to be a
y o C c M a h t n a m a S y b n e t tir w e l ci tr a
humanitarian in his community. He is fighting for
change for everyone. We are all living in what MC
Snillow describes as “Oppressed Freedom”, Free but
not free. The more awareness brought to the
conditions in Africa the more chance of change.
From country to country our people are still
praying for change. As African-Americans we fight
every day for equality here in America. Racism has
always been an issue in America, but we must not
forget about our brothers and sisters in Africa
that needs our help! Our people are fighting to
survive. The hate must stop. We must bring
international awareness to Africa’s Tribal Wars! We
have to start at the root of the problem. Everyone
please spread awareness. We must release the chains
for change. Thank you MC Snillow for all you for
our people. Together we can save The Motherland.

I like to just have fun and keep

positivity around me. I dislike drama

and negativity.

So, the story is you got suspended from school and picked up rapping. Could

you tell us a little more about that?

I had gotten into trouble in school & was on max suspension. My mom asked

what did I want to do in life? I said rap. She advised long as I stayed consistent

she would help & did & has been every since.

How would you describe your music compared to other artists?

My music compared to other artists unfortunately is real. No cap rap real life

living. No team no nothing.

Your song, “Demons” ft. 18Veno was created a few months ago but 18Veno died

3 days after its release. What kind of impact does this have on you?

Veno death impacted me in a way that life is short& you gotta do your best to

go in. We had begin to build & grow with music shit sad.

What is something you would like to change and/or bring to the music

industry?

I would like to change how artist help there city’s or state put other artists on

if possible.

Who are some of your inspirations?

Inspirations would be Boosie, Biggie & Nipsey.

Are there any local artist that you would like to collaborate with?

I have & would like to continue working with as n MB any local artist as I can. I

recently did some other articles & mentioned names & a few people hit me up

you forgot me; so thus time it’s open to the entire state ‼

How does your family feel about your music career?

Some family support & some judge & point their fingers.

If you weren’t doing music, what would you be doing?

If I wasn’t doing music I would like to have full running studio or some type of

non profit for youth & music & any arts.

What can we expect from you next?

I’ll be doing my next project thru a distributor I never worked with before &

expect better results & better project.

 Geechee One Magazine was out and about in Hotlanta and
was able to walk the red carpet for the VIP private screening
of the upcoming thriller film "FIRST LADY 3".
Various reality stars in and supporting the film was present. We was able to get

photos and talk to Yandy, Jennifer William's, Hoopz, and more. The director of this

film is from Detroit and seemed extra excited for this exclusive screening of the

film. The 1st and 2nd films was awesome and this one was just amazing. Wait until it

releases it will make you happy, sad, and excited all at the same time.
