Course Description:
This is a 3-unit course which mainly focuses on the study and use of different literary theories to write
critiques on selections from various literary genres. This also aims to identify the history and concepts of those
various literary theories so students may be able to write informed theory-based critiques of various literary
pieces. It is meant to make students gain an appreciation of critiquing literary texts in a deeper sense.
