THE PROPOSAL

BY MV KASI

“I am not marrying a stranger! Let alone in two weeks’ time!”

Nandini was a strong-headed person and found it unfair of her parents to arrange a match for her for their
benefit. She was not an asset to be traded like that. She would definitely not bend her morals and marry a
complete stranger yet still she agrees to meet him for her sister’s sake. But she would not make it easy for
the prospective groom to sweep her off her feet in just one meeting.

“Do you like what you see? Or do you want me to turn so that you can see my backside, too? And maybe my
teeth, too,” she asked.

The man didn’t look embarrassed. In fact, he was smiling at her. “I’ve already seen you before from a
distance, Miss Mahasena. Unless I missed out on a tail or a set of horns, you still look as beautiful as I
remember.”

Rajiv was a confident gentleman who was sure to make the girl his bride. Despite her rudeness and insults,
he was not wavered by his resolve to convince her by his charms.

“I’m used to working hard and achieving whatever I want, Nandini. I guess I’ll have to impress you enough
and convince you to pick me as your groom rather than some other man.”

This story was fascinating. The strong female lead is not ready to marry a stranger and a charming male
lead is ready to go through any challenge to bewitch her and make her agree to marry him. Such a simple
concept elaborated most beautifully in few words is the thing I appreciate the most about MV Kasi. I am
falling in love with her writing; it’s just perfect and tantalizing.

I recommend this book to every reader who wants a full package of hate and love in a short period. I am
eagerly looking to read the story of Meenakshi.
