MAINTENANCE MANAGER
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill a position of
Maintenance Manager which has arisen within Datlabs.

The position is based in Bulawayo and reports to the Technical Director.

The key deliverables for the incumbent are:

a) Ensuring that the plant, machinery and utilities are well maintained at all times.
b) Making sure that there is a robust planned maintenance programme.
c) Ensuring that critical spares for machinery and utilities are available at all times.
d) Developing and updating maintenance SOPs and ensuring that staff are trained on these at
all times.
e) Supervising contractors on site and ensuring adherence to agreed deadlines.
f) Managing new projects from drafting stage up to final commissioning.
g) Drawing up the annual budget and ensuring that the department expenses are within
budget at all times.
h) Supervising of staff in the daily performance of their duties.
i) Recruitment of suitable staff and updating of job descriptions.
j) Liaising with user departments on their needs.

Suitable candidates should have the following minimum qualifications:

a) An Engineering degree or Technical Engineering qualification

b) At least five years experience in a mechanical or electrical engineering environment or both
c) A project management qualification would be an added advantage.
