OFUN IROSUN

1. Ifa says that this person will be blessed with peace of mind,
comfort and prosperity. Ifa says that he/she will never suffer
in life and that the elders of the night will give him/her
support. Ebo materials; four pigeons, plenty of bananas and
money. He/she also needs to feed Ifa with plenty of
bananas and feed the elders of the night with plenty of
bananas. On this, Ifa says:

Translation
Ofun ro totooto the resident awo of Oniragbiji
He cast Ifa for the household of Iragbiji
Offspring of those who consumed banana to lay the
foundation of prosperity
He was advised to offer ebo
He ocmplied
It is bananas that we consume in the household of Iragbiji
That brings us financial success
And also compatible spouse
And great children
And also all ire of life

2. Ifa says that there is a young girl who is ripe for the marriage
market. The man that everybody knows has his future
husband may be disappointed because it is most likely that
someone else will seduce the girl and the girl will elope with
this seducer. In order for this not to happen, there is the
need to offer ebo with one matured he-goat.

The palm-kernel by the road side looks like Ikin
But it does not get blood to consume like Ikin
Ifa’s message for Orunmila
When going to marry Oge as his wife
He was advised to offer ebo
We looked for Oge everywhere
But we could not find Oge
Ofun Orosun had absconded with Oge

3. Ifa says that the issue of childbearing is a major concern for


the person for whom this Odu is revealed. Ifa assures
him/her that he/she will be blessed with many children. Ifa
advises this person to be taking care of his/her hair very well
and regularly. He/she needs to cut his hair or plait her hair
regularly. Ebo materials; plenty of bananas, four rats, four
fish, two hens and money. He/she also needs to feed Ifa
with plenty of bananas.

Translation
Ofun roju did not concern herself with anyone
When she woke up
She was lamenting her inability to beget a baby
Ifa’s message for the inhabitants of the household of Iragbiji
Where they shave their hair to celebrate their annual festival

4. Ifa says that it foresees the ire of longevity for this person.
He/she however needs to be careful with being attacked with
either poison, acid or potent charms. There are three

Ofun ro totooto the resident awo of Oniragbiji
He cast Ifa for Lasinsokun the first child of Osin Owa

He was advised to offer ebo

The charm made with deer horn that was prepared against
transgressors

5. Ifa advises a woman seeking for pregnancy to offer ebo. Ifa


says that her time to give birth to the baby is at hand. Ebo
materials, four guinea-fowls, four hens and money. She will
also need to feed Ifa with eight rats, eight fish and one
mature she-goat.

Translation

Ifa’s message for Orosun
She who was weeping while offering the ebo of childbearing
She was advised to offer ebo

6. Ifa advises that there is the need to take good care of a child
there in order for him/her to live long on earth. There is also
the need to offer ebo for someone who is ill for him/her not to
die prematurely. If this person has not yet being initiated into
Ifa, there is the need to do so as urgently as possible. There
is also the need to prepare a lot of food and drink for people
to consume. Ebo materials; three roosters, three hens and
money. They need to feed Ifa with eight rats, eight fish, one
guinea-fowl and food.

Ifa’s message for Lata-niyo (he who provide spices and salt
condiments)

Ifa please do not allow Lata-niyo to die prematurely
Does who consume the soup of awo do not die premature
death

7. Ifa advises this person to offer ebo in order to overcome


his/her enemies. The ebo materials there are three roosters,
three guinea-fowls one agogo, gong and money.

8. Ifa says that it foresees the ire of success and prosperity


outside the locality of this person. The ebo materials are
eight guinea-fowls, eight pigeons and money. There is also
the need to feed Ifa with one big smoked catfish.

9. Ifa says that this person plans to do something that is almost


impossible but with the help of Ifa and Obatala he/she will
succeed in doing it. Ifa also says that there is a woman
here who had three suitors and who is encouraging the three
suitors has her will be husband. There is the need for this
woman to offer ebo in order for her no to face disgrace in
what she is doing. Ebo materials; three roosters, three
guinea-fowls and money. There is the need to feed Ifa with
one she-goat and feed Obatala with 16 land snails.

Ofun ro totooto the awo of Aye
Olodumare who created the world
Will not reveal its secrets to anyone
Ifa’s message for Orisanla Oseeremagbo
Who will give birth to only one daughter
And would give her hand out to three different men
He was advised to offer ebo

10. Ifa warns that there is the need to offer ebo very
urgently where this Odu is revealed. Ifa says that there is a
joint project or material that people gather money together to
procure. This thing is going to land the group into a serious
melancholy that will make it difficult for them to have any joy
for a long time to come. The ebo material here is one
matured he-goat and money. They also needs to feed Ifa
with 16 rats, 16 fish and one mature she-goat.

Ofun wore a frown on his face
Ifa’s message for the six elders
When going to the land of melancholy
They are going to use their money to purchase sadness
into their homes
The same message was given to Ibanuje, Melancholy

Please help us chase melancholy away
But awo and herbalist

11. Ifa says that it foresees joy and prosperity for two
people. Ifa says that the two people were born from a good
home and they were also well trained. The two of them
needs to offer ebo for their business to continue to progress.
Each of them needs to offer ebo with four pigeons, four
guinea-fowls, one bundle of white cloth and money. Each of
them also needs to feed Obalata with one guinea-fowls, 16
land snails, 16 ball of Efun and shea-butter. They also need
to feed their Ori with one duck each.

And also for Olu-biire, he who born with distinguished

12. Ifa says that it foresees the ire of a compatible spouse
for this person. There is going to be joy, children and
accomplishment for the couple. Ebo materials, two hens,
four rats, four fish and money.

13. Ifa says that there is a man who is having a lot of


financial difficulties as at present. This man is going to meet
a woman who will eventually become his wife. The Ori of
this woman will turn his life around and the man will become
very successful and he will be known throughout the world.
Ebo materials; one mature he-goat, two pigeons, four rats,
four fish, shea butter and money. on this, Ifa says:

Dia fun Akitan
To nbe l’oun nikan soso girogiro
To f’eyinti m’oju ekun sunrahun ire gbogbo

O gb’ebo, o ru’bo

Translation
Ako’bel’ebe the awo of the farm land
He cast IFa for Akitan the refuse dump hill
When he was alone and lonely
And he was lamenting his inability to get any of the ire
of life
He was advised to offer ebo
He complied
And he married Olugbongaga mushroom as wife
Before long, not too far
All free gifts trooped in
Now who was the person who married Olugbongaga
mushroom as his wife
It was the refuse dump hill
Who had married Olongbongaga mushroom as his wife

14. Ifa says that it foresee the ire of childbearing for a


woman looking for this blessing. Ifa assures this woman that
she will become a mother within one year. Ebo materials;
one hen, four rats, four fish and money. The woman needs
to feed her Ori with one hen. Before feeding her Ori, this
woman needs to paint her right eye with Efun and paint her
left eye with Osun. After doing this, she will now feed her
Ori.

Dia fun Ofun-Olosun
Omo af’efun s’oju sunkun omo
Ebo ni won ni ko waa se
O gb’ebo, o ru’bo

15. Ifa says that this person has not direction as at now,
there is the need for him/her to offer ebo and feed Oosa in
order for him/her to get his/her bearing. Ebo materials; three
pigeons, three roosters and money. He/she also needs to
feed Obatala as appropriate but he/she needs to add at least
one Ikodide, parrot feather to what he/she will use to feed
Obatala.

Ofun r’oju totooto y’eke otita
Ifa’s message for Ojuro the mother of Efure
When going to Olokun in order to celebrate Olokun’s
annual festival
She was advised to offer ebo
In order her not to miss her direction
She refused to offer ebo
Now we cannot find Ojuro
Ojuro de, ojuro
She then went to offer ebo
We have now found Ojuro
Ojuro o, ojuro

16. Ifa warns this person not to betray the trust reposed in
him/her especially if he/she is a doctor, consultant, healer,
herbalist or spiritualist. If this person had betrayed those
who have confidence in him/her. There is the need to stop
such act forthwith and offer ebo with one mature she-goat,
some of his/her dresses and money. There is also someone
who is traveling outside is locality on business. This person
needs to be careful not to meet with disasters where he/she
is going. Ebo materials; one female sheep, some of his/her
dresses and money.
