1. State Le-chatelier’s principle. Considering the following equilibrium reaction,


2SO2(g) + O2(g)= 2SO3(g) ∆H= -23.5Kcal
answer the following questions.
a. Write the equilibrium constant expression for the above reaction.
b. Write the relationship between Kp and Kc for this reaction.
c. What would be the effect on the amount of SO2, O2 and SO3 in the equilibrium mixture
when the pressure and temperature are increased? [1.5+0.5+1.5+2.5=6]

2. Give reasonable explanations. [2+2+2=6]
