Week 1 – Access Labor Internship

Week of June 6 – June 13th (Sunday to Sunday)

38 Hours worked

For the first day on the job, Tuesday June 8th I started touring the buildings with my

internship director Butch Brooks. I toured the main office, in which they deal with most

of their day-to-day transactions. Some things they do in the office include payroll,

mailing/receiving checks and invoices, recruiting and much more. I met all of the office

workers and began to get acquainted with the new setting in which I was going to be

working for the next couple of weeks. I toured a few jobsites, in which access labor was

subcontracted doing excavating jobs. I began to become familiar with their website and

the software that I was going to be using. I received my own account info, so I could

begin to make my mark during this internship period. This week was more getting to

know the job, the company and the employees before I started to assist with doing real

work.
