Teaching Improvement Tool
Good news! 51Talk is pleased
to launch the Teaching
Improvement Tool. This was
launched last May 06, 2020!
This will allow every teacher to
have visibility of their own
performance and will give the
power to improve booking rate
& earnings. The tool will help
identify areas for improvement
and show success indicators on
the 51Talk online platform via
a performance rating.

 Teaching Improvement Tool Indicators

• There are 4 categories with a total of 16 indicators.

• Each category has corresponding points which a teacher can gain or lose depending on how he/she
performs in the platform.

Training - Complete all and get +2.5 points on your base score
Activeness - Open slots in advance, exceed the number of peak hours slots and get +7.5 points on your base score
Attendance - Keep a perfect attendance to avoid 1.7 points deduction
Effect - Always give your best in every lesson and get +19.7 points on your base score

Teaching Improvement Tool Enhancements
51Talk made several adjustments on the Teaching Improvement Tool:

1. The counting of opened lessons：1 on 1 FT, subbed lessons, Group

Classes are now included along with the 1 on1 regular lessons.
What this means: One (1) Group Class counts as two classes since GC is
50 minutes and takes two slots.

2. The counting of late and leave：1 on 1 FT, subbed lessons, Group

Classes are now included along with the 1 on1 regular lessons.
What this means: One (1) late or leave early incident in Group Class
counts as one (1) late or leave early record.

3. Absences:
a. Absences are now classified as "Early-notified Absence Records" /
"Late-notified & Non-notified Absence Records”
b. 1 on 1 FT, subbed lessons, Group Classes are now included along with
the 1 on1 regular lessons.
c. Penalty-removed absences will not count anymore.

4. Complaint：it counts as one complaint if student raised several

complaints for the same lesson.
