Course Objectives
Students shall
1. Able to understand the Functioning of Basic Sewing machine & its parts.
2. Understand hands on training on Assembly & Disassembly of Sewing Machine.
3. Understand various Mechanisms and nature of uses.
4. Understand basic troubleshooting of the major problems.

On completion of the course, learner will be able to
1. Identify the various components of Basic Sewing machine.
2. Identify the Nature of assembly & working of machine.
3. Identify various types of Transformation of motions with different kinds of mechanisms.
4. Demonstrate the Standard adjustment & Troubleshooting of the major problems.

Course Contents
Guidelines for Laboratory Conduction
The student shall complete the following activity as a Term Work

1. Students shall complete the following topics as assignments :

 Introduction & Types of Sewing machines with simple drawings.
 Fabric types & Steps of Stitch formation
 Work Aids & Preventive maintenance of Sewing machine.

2. Practical Hands on training sessions to learn Assembling & Disassembling of machine.

3. Hands on troubleshooting of the basic major problems & Maintenance.
