1. Calculate E0 for each cell and write the equation for each cell process. Explain the significance of any
negative E0 value.

5. Chromium metal can be plated out from an acidic solution containing CrO3 according to the

a) How many grams of chromium will be plated out by 24000C?
b) How long will it take to plate out 1.5gms of chromium by using 12.5A current?
6. Calculate reduction potentials of the following electrodes:
a) Pt, H2 (4 atm) │ H2SO4 (0.01M) b) calculate the potential of hydrogen electrode in contact with a
solution whose (i) pH=5 (ii) pOH=4.
7. *The solution of CuSO4 in which Cu rod is dipped is diluted to 10 times. The reduction electrode
potential will:-
