FREE TIME

How much time do you spend at home nowadays?

I am currently five days a week, and two days away, at my place of work. On Tuesdays
and Wednesdays, I have to meet with my work group. I work as a multimedia
programmer, so most of the time I am at my home computer. like to be at home,
because the time I spend on commuting to work or university, I spend on other things.

Do you have a favorite newspaper or magazine?

I don't usually read the newspaper, but I am interested in some magazines from
different universities, topics such as science, arts, literature (leruchor) or philosophy.
In Colombia there are interesting magazines about literature, like “el malpensante”,
“los “conjurados”, Arcadia, for example. I don't usually buy subscriptions, but
sometimes I get them from public libraries.

- What's the most exciting thing you've ever done?

Is a lot of exciting things. But the most exciting maybe was a trip we made with some
friends to the Tatacoa desert with very little money. it was an incredible experience. it
is too exciting to have adventures with little money. i haven't tried it again, but i would
like to.

Tell us about a TV program you've seen recently?

I don't usually watch TV. But I love movies. I watch them whenever I have free time.
Since I'm at home, I watch a lot of movies. The last one I saw was “la grande belleza” of
paolo sorrentino's . a recent Italian director, very interesting. A movie to understand
the comduct of an artist in his whole life.

- What is the difference between reading the news in the newspaper and watching it
on television?

The newspaper does not have the impact of television. The Information on television is
mediated by images, by the voice, by the presence of the presenter. The intention is
different. in the newspaper you can better analyze the news, its veracity through the
journalist's speech. Reading news in the newspaper requires an effort, more time and
a better understanding of reality.

- Who do you spend your free time with?

I spend my free time with my family, with my partner, we share most of the time. We
are all at home most of the time. So we are always sharing as a family. That's one of
the good things about the pandemic.
- Do you prefer to be outside or inside when you have free time?

When I have free time, I like to be outside. I think because of the pandemic, this
perception has changed. Before the pandemic you wanted to be at home in your free
time. Now I like to go out, walk around, breathe the air.

What do you most enjoy doing when you're at home?

When I'm at home, I like to cook, read, listen to music, sometimes write. I enjoy really
my work, so all the time I have a good time.

Is your routine at weekends different from your daily routine?

Yes, completely. On weekends I try not to be at home. I look for something to do, visit
a museum, a library, watch a movie, visit family or friends. but I do try to do different
things on the weekends. Being at home most of the time is boring.

What do you spend your time doing?

I spend most of my time studying and working. I like to read, document myself, learn
about different subjects.

- Do you enjoy reading?

By far. I enjoy reading a lot. It is one of my great passions (payjons). I read everything
from literature, to sociology, to philosophy, I like them all. I try to invest most of my
time in this.

What kind of books do you read?

I like to read philosophy, theory (tirio literature), history (in some cases). But I also
read narratives, novels, short stories, poetry. I am currently reading the essays of
Michel Montaigne for example. I like his writing fairly.

- Do you know anyone who has an interesting hobby?

One of my cousins is very fond of road cycling. it's one of his big hobbies. He's on his
bike all the time. he also does very long rides. is also a journalist and another of his
great hobbies is writing. She does it very well.
