Logline:

Loney and temper-ridden, Aisha has nothing going for her. When a nightmare forces her to start
getting her life together, she is forced to interact with, well people.

Synopsis:

Aisha stays alone in a dingy small apartment in the shadows of Mumbai. The list of items around her
house that need fixing is getting longer by the day. The only difference between her father and her,
is the fact that once every three months, he at least tries to better their relationship. These days, she
is waiting for a text from Sameer, who she slept with one time but hasn’t been able to get out of her
mind.

A pigeon is stuck in the window of her bathroom and it’s been four months since. She hates the job
she holds, and is miles away from the job she wants. Nothing seems to be going for her. With anger
being her only shield, Aisha has forgotten what it’s like to talk to a person.

When a nightmare gives her a much-needed incentive to get her life on track, she decides to first get
rid of the pigeon stuck in the window panes of her bathroom. After a slew of failed attempts to get
someone from the municipal corporation to come and get the bird away, she catches hold of her
building’s maintenance man.

The duo gets off on the wrong foot, courtesy Aisha’s anger management issues. They are however,
making some headway. When Aisha loses her cool on a joke he cracks, like the rest of the world, he
walks out on her too.

And just like that, Aisha is back to being alone in her apartment on Friday night, with the loneliness,
and a fluttering pigeon. She breaks down crying at the mess her life is.

In an unexpected turn of events, the maintenance man is back. This time, with a box of tools and a
new idea to get the bird out. She is emotionally drained, but the maintenance man is here to fulfil
his word – he will get her rid of the pigeon’s ‘gutargoo’ for good.

As they manage to get the pigeon out of the jammed window, it flies out into the hall. Aisha who is a
certified coward screams and nearly faints with anxiety, but in a truly victorious moment and with
help from the maintenance man, manages to catch hold of the bird.

The maintenance man realizes that the bird’s wing is injured and that it cannot fly on its own and
suggests they either treat it at home, or take it to a vet. When Aisha refuses giving a bunch of
reasons, he instills in her that she needs to face her fears. Running away from them is going to get
her nothing. That if she thought like a giver, she can solve any and all of her problems.

As she lets the maintenance man’s words sink in, she gets a text from Sameer, asking if she is
available tonight ‘after 9’. Excitement turns into sadness and a deep-seated sense of anger. Loathing
herself, for Aisha, ends today. She dismisses his message and well, the overall idea of him.
With what feels like liberation to her, she steps out of her run-down apartment with the
maintenance man and the pigeon, its injured wing wrapped in her scarf, as they head to the
Veterinarian.
