How to set up Zapier

1. Let’s go to https://zapier.com/app/dashboard, and make an account.

2. Make sure that you have already set up your ‘Podio Account’ and you have your ‘Google
Sheet’ where you put all of the data you’ve scraped.

3. Press ‘Make a Zap’.

4. We will start making a zap with Google spreadsheet. Press “Google Spreadsheet’.

5. Go to ‘Choose Trigger Event’ and choose ‘New Spreadsheet Row’ and press ‘Continue’.
6. You need to select the ‘Google Sheet Account’, and select the ‘Google Account’ where
your ‘Direct Mail’ spreadsheet is at.

7. It is now going to ask you ‘Spreadsheet’ within your Google Account choose ‘Direct
Mail’.
8. It will also ask you for the ‘Worksheet’ look for the tab in your ‘Google Spreadsheet’,
which is basically named as ‘Direct Mail’, choose ‘Direct Mail’ after that press ‘Continue’

9. We can now press ‘Test Trigger’ it will basically show us if it works or if it doesn’t.
10. You can now check if it works and if it works press ‘Continue’.

11. And then we want to put in ‘Podio’. Press ‘Podio’.

12. Go to ‘Choose Action Event’ and choose ‘Create Item’.

13. We do instruction number 12, because at the moment we don’t have any data in our
‘Podio’, so in Podio we have to ‘ Create a new Item’
14. Next, we need to ‘Choose an Account’. We already have our ‘Podio Account’ all we need
to do is choose the account that we used in our ‘Podio’ and press ‘Continue’.

15. And then ‘Choose your Organization’; in organization choose your ‘Podio Account’. This
is where you can look for the name of your organization.
16. In our example, her Podio Account is named ‘Katy Wilson Property’ so we will choose
‘Katy Wilson Property’, next is ‘Workspace’ choose ‘Direct Mail’, then ‘Application’
choose ‘Addresses’.

17. What is now asking is to match; we’re matching all of the data, like ‘Today’s Date, Link
to Ad’, ‘Motivation’ and etc. with all of the data in our ‘Direct Mail’. So ‘Today’s Date’,
we will put the ‘Date the we scraped the Data’, next is Motivation’ choose ‘Motivation,
Link to Ad, choose ‘Link’ to ad
18. House no., we put ‘House No., ‘Street’ choose ‘Street’ , ‘Town’ look for ‘Town, ‘City’
choose ‘City’.
19. Next is ‘Postcode, choose ‘Postcode’, ‘Asking Price, choose ‘Asking Price, ‘Value, we
choose ‘Value’, 25% of BMV offer’, choose ‘25% of BMV offer’, ‘Difference’, choose
‘Difference’.
20. Let’s go now to ‘No. of Beds’ copy ‘No. of Beds’ and ‘Date Listed’ choose ‘Date Listed’,
after that press ‘Continue’.

21. After that, click ‘Test and Continue’.

22. Everything has got green ticks, so it’s successful.

23. Click ‘Done Editing’.

24. We can now ‘Turn our Zap On’. And it’s done!

25. Just remember that it will not pull all of the data into your Podio for just 10 seconds. You
need to wait for an hour or so and then refresh, and you can see all of your data
dropping in your Podio one by one.
