The Department of Geography conducted Orientation

Programme for first Semester students on 13 st November, 2020, as
per Circular No. RGU/DSW/2020-21/01 dated the 30 th November
2020.
As a part of the Academic Activity of the Department,
Orientation program was organized on 31 st August, 2018 for the first
Semester students of the Department of Geography, University of
Eduction from 11.00 Am to 3.30.PM in Acadamic Block. The Orientation
program was held in different session in which out of total 49 students
in First Semester, thirty nine students were present and students of
Seven semester students also attended the orientation programme. In
this orientation programme all the Faculty members deliberated words
of advice/suggestions to the newly admitted students of M.A. First
Semester & Seven semester students on the following points:

 The rules and regulation of the University and the Department.

 The importance of Education in life.
 The importance of studying geography.
 What should be the aim of master students?
 How to improve the life and how to lead a life in a right direction.
 About the course syllabus and significance of attendance
(have to maintain 75 per cent attendance in each paper.)
 Importance of internal session tests.
 Maintain communal harmony in and outside the campus.
 To respect teachers and elders in and outside the campus.
 Responsibility towards the society as an educated person.

Apart from the above mentioned points, all the teaching

faculties also imparted a knowledge on the day-to-day life, about
writing skills, answering the questions via sharing their personal
experiences of life in university.
