NARRATIVE REPORT

PSA- Sultan Kudarat conducted the 4th level training for 2020 Census of
Population and Housing in the municipality of Lambayong on August 17 to 22, a 5 days
training for the enumerators and 6 days training for the team supervisors. The flow of
the training from the first day to last day was so good in a sense that it was so
challenging in our part because almost all the trainee are first timer, yet it was fun at the
same time we learned so much knowledge and techniques that we can use as our
weapon not only in the enumeration period but. With that, we are so much blessed
being indulge in other people who were all a positive thinker. We are also blessed for
having a very effective, brilliant and mind activator trainers, who were been so much
effective trainers during the discussions of this 2020 Census of Population and Housing.
The training ended successfully, by which our trainers gave their best to feed our minds
with the knowledge and wisdom.
The Philippine Statistics Authority – Sultan Kudarat provides the different maps
such barangay map, enumeration area map and block maps of each barangay in the
municipality of Lambayong and different forms to be used at actual enumeration. Two
days before the enumeration period my team received the provided maps for barangay
Lagao and for barangay Pidtiguian maps. I also recieved the estimated CPH form 2, 3
and 6. I, as team supervisor for Lagao and Pidtiguian together with my enumerators
discussed thoroughly on how we are going to conduct the 2020 census with efficiency
and validity. As we go on, we also discussed the blocked maps especially on the
boundaries. The given different maps is very essential to us, because it serves as our
weapon for the whole enumeration period especially to my enumerators.
I am assigned with two separate baranggay, Lagao and Pidtiguian, there are two
enumerators and two enumeration area in Brgy. Lagao, Monaira Limbong was assigned
in EA 001000 while the other one Janno Pidulan given the EA 002000. In Brgy.
Pidtiguian I have three Enumerators, Divina Miano, Hasna Guiapal and Joher Baumol
and their EA are 001000, 002000 and 003000 respectively, remaining EA which is
004000 was given to the smallest estimated HSN which is to Divina Miano.
With the cooperation of barangay officials of the barangay Lagao, we conducted
the ocular inspection successfully, same also with barangay Pidtiguian.
As the team supervisor of the 2 barangay, it is not easy for me to divide my time
to my enumerators, but because I take this job, so I must be able to do my duties and
responsibility. Thus, I made my time divided equally into 5 parts. Because I want to
make sure, especially on the 1st week of enumeration that everything is all right, less
errors should maintain.
Every day I divided my time to make sure that I could visit the 5 enumeration
area. Luckily, by having time with my enumerators on their respective enumeration
area, I observed how they performed well to their responsibilities. I witnessed how they
gracefully approached the respondents. And I also witnessed how they are committed
and show loved for their work.
 But we all know that there is no perfect at all, specially for the 1st week of
enumeration. There are some of my enumerator who is seemingly had his/her hard time
during the enumeration period, others are still confused with their boundaries and what I
did as his/her team supervisor, was to assist him/her all the day, until such time he/she
was able to do his/her job without my assistance. A long the period I am always with
them every day except for Fridays, where it is a day for TS and CAS weekly meeting, I
am doing this as my daily routine for us also to avoid major errors and problems
especially on specifying buildings and assigning Household Serial Numbers & Housing
of Unit Serial Numbers. I received the 1st transmitted accomplished form 2 and 3 at the
end of the 1st week and i encountered so many error such as codes, line number of the
respondent, and mostly the skipping patterns, however I am so grateful that my En’s are
are always willing to work cooperatively and listen to what I instruct.
We also encountered major problems, such as conflict boundaries by which there
are some purok and who were enlisted in the EA map of barangay Lagao,that was
supposed to be part of its adjacent municipality. Just like, there was one purok of
barangay New Lagao, part of tacurong city which have been enlisted to the EA of
001000 of barangay Lagao. But with the cooperation of the two barangay officials and
with the help of the staffs of PSA Region XII we resolved the problem successfully. We
resolved the problem by enumerating the area addressed on the actual address of the
household.
So many problems arouse at the end of enumeration period luckily I have
enumerators which is very active and work very cooperatively, we fix all the errors in
each forms and resolve all the problems regarding enumeration.
