REPORT ON INVESTITURE CEREMONY – 30th April 2021

A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way and shows the way.

To inculcate the leadership qualities in the students and to give them a feel of
functioning of the administrative body the school prefectorial board was formed
after scrutinous interview and selection.

The Investiture ceremony for the academic year 2021-22 was held with great
dignity and pomp on 30th April 2021 through the zoom platform. The High Range
School family was honored to have Col.D.K. Salwan as the Chief Guest on this
auspicious occasion.

The ceremony began with a welcome address followed by the lighting of the lamp
and prayer. The Principal Ms.Pooja Bose in her address motivated and encouraged
the leaders to discharge their duties and responsibilities. She congratulated the
former council members for fulfilling their duties as leaders. A short video of an
interview of Mr. Steve Jobs, CEO of Apple was played for the student leaders. The
students were inspired by his words on working as a team.

This was followed by a mesmerizing dance performance by the young dancers of

our school, showcasing immense happiness and incredible moves, in a fusion
dance themed Bend and Rise. This was followed by an inspiring speech by Mr.
Mathew Abraham, the chairman of the school. The students were encouraged by
his words of wisdom and were motivated on their new journey as leaders with
great responsibility.

As the dance performance concluded, the newly elected Council was formally
announced, giving each elected leader a new responsibility towards the institution
and the entire THRS family. The Newly elected leaders took the oath to start their
responsibilities to help the team succeed and evolve in their roles, a responsibility
to put their needs above their own, and a responsibility to lead by example. After
oath taking ceremony the leaders were given their badges that was pinned by their
parents with their heads held high.

This was followed by an inspiring and motivational address by the chief Guest
Col.D.K.Salwan. His words of encouragement gave the students a new vision and
motivation to succeed and to develop themselves as responsible children of the
society.

The rendition by the young singers of THRS was melodious and inspiring song
which perfectly suited the event. The song told the students how to overcome their
challenges and to never give up whatever the situation may be.

The event concluded with the vote of thanks followed by the National Anthem.
