Accomplishement Report in Adopt- A- School Program

School Year 2020-2021

Innovation and learning go hand in hand. With the changes occurring in our field, new ideas and
expectations are the new normal. Today, you can choose to create, to build and to work toward a new
normal in your program. You can establish a new set of expectations and prepare for a new set of needs.

As part of the new normal system in education, Tilapayong Elementary School embraces the new
normal. The school is implementing modular distance learning wherein the learners use self-learning
modules (SLMs) in print, activities, video lesson given by the teacher and with the guidance of
parents/guardians at home. This modality was chosen because of the lack availability of learning
resources such as the gadgets, internet connectivity and the parents who goes at work and brings their
cellphone. Through the cooperation and support of learners, parents/guardians and teachers, teaching-
learning continuous at home. The teachers are always communicating with the parents/guardians through
text messages, chat, and call or sometimes through Online Kumustahan with the learners via Zoom
platform.

There are also online trainings and workshops for teachers, wherein they continue to develop
their professionall growth and skills as a teacher. The teachers’ duty is through skeletal workforce to
protect the teachers and parents from Covid19.

Tilapayong Elementary School was blessed and grateful to have supportive and generous
learners’ parents/guardians. There are many parents and guardians/stakeholders who voluntarily go to
school to clean, give donations such as bond papers, alcohol, face mask, face shield and other supplies
that are useful in this time of pandemic and modular distance learning.

The GPTA President and its members of the school lead in the making of GPTA School Fund for
their project (to cement the remaining uncemented space infront of the stage). They asks voluntarily
donation from the school Alumni of Tilapayong ES and made their project possible. This project will
help to keep the learners, parents and school personnels safe from danger of flood and mud during rainy
season. This space will be more useful for varied school activities when face to face classes will resume.

Amidst this pandemic, Tilapayong Elementary School supports the Department of Education’s
vision that education must continue. SULONG EDUKALIDAD!
