I have the honor to present the accomplishment report about the School-based Learning Action Cell
on the Role of ICT in Teaching and Learning and Teaching strategies in Mathematics for teachers
entitled School – based Learning Action Cell / Webinar on Role of ICT in Teaching and Learning and
Teaching Strategies in Mathematics on April 23 , 2021 at 9:00-11:30 in the Morning. The said training
aims teachers and school heads to acquire creative and innovative ways of using ICT in teaching and
learning also utilizing the use of different strategies in teaching mathematics amidst of pandemic.

As stated in DepEd Order No. 35, s. 2016, Learning Action Cell (LAC) is a session conducted by
group of teachers who engage in collaborative learning sessions to solve shared challenges encountered
in school. Such challenges may include learner diversity and student inclusion, content and pedagogy,
assessment and reporting, and 21 st century skills and ICT integration. DepEd envisions that these LAC
Sessions will serve as a school-based continuing professional development strategy for the improvement
of teaching and learning.
In connection with this, the passionate teachers and School head of San Pedro Elementary School
conducted School Based Learning Action Cell on the Role of ICT in teaching and learning and
Teaching strategies in Mathematics to help the parents and gurdians that their children receive quality
basic education from qualified professionals whose competencies are abrest with changes and
advancement amidst COVID-19 pandemic.

II. Objectives

The San Pedro Elementary School conducted School-Based Learning Action Cell/ WEBINAR ON ROLE
OF ICT IN TEACHING AND LARNING AND TEACHING STRATEGIES IN MATHEMATICS with the following
objectives:

Terminal Objective:

1. Capacitate teachers in San Pedro Elementary School in teaching with the use of ICT and
different teaching strategies in mathematics.
2. Align the delivery instruction through the learning delivery modalities (LDMs) appropriate
in the context of local conditions and consistent with the COVID-19 guidance and
regulations.

3. Make lesson plan utilizing the use of ICT and different strategies in Mathematics.

Enabling Objectives

1. To assess ourselves as educators

2. To determine whether or not the goals of education are being met.
4. To inspire us to plan activities for next school year

III. Activities

The School Learning Action Cell Training / Webinar on Role of ICT in teaching and learning
and Teaching strategies in Mathematics (INSET) of San Pedro Elementary School Faculty for the S.Y.
2020-2021 was held through google meet link https://meet.google.com/sju-xqad-caw last April 23,
2021. It was planned carefully by our beloved Head Teacher III, Dr. Ericson S. Mayor to help and guide us
about the role of ICT in Teaching and Learning and teaching strategies in Mathematics and this will help us
to ensure that our teaching is anchored and effectively implemented based on the mission and vision of the
department of education. The SLAC session was started at exactly 8:30 in the morning with a simple prayer
headed by Miss Anabelle B. Capiral kinder Adviser, followed by a National Anthem led by Mrs. Miriam R.
Agbayani, Our ESP Leader . A word of wisdom gave by our very own Head Teacher III, Dr. Ericson S. Mayor.
Mr. Jamel M. Mayor, Grade 3A Adviser started the session by discussing the Role of ICT in teaching
and learning process amidst of pandemic. He stressed the importance of ICT in learning amidts of
pandemic. He also discuss some ICT website and how they will help them diliever a quality education
amidst of pandemic like google classroom, quizzizz and the utilization of facebook and other social
networking sites. Mrs. Jingle G. De Guzman, Grade 4 adviser discuss the different strategies in mathematics.
She emphasized the importance of utilizing different methods in theaching mathematiocs to address the
individual difference of our pupils.
The awarding of certificate was done on the day of the training to give recognition to the teachers
who served as resource speaker and training facilitator.

IV. The Participants

The facilitators are full of wisdom and dedication with full smile on their faces as they greeted the
participants with a happy morning that made them much motivated for the task they need to
accomplished. The teachers do all their activities and actively participate during the discussion.

V. Conclusions.
The training was done successfully which was participated by the teachers. Also Dr. Ericson S. Mayor gives a
word of wisdom about the topics discussed. It was indeed a fruitful activity to everyone. Each participant gained
knowledge about the role of ICT in teaching and learning and Teaching strategies in Mathematics which will help
teachers to improved their qualification skills and increase their levels of knowledge, practice and professional
engagement.
Truly, change is an unending process and diligent San Pedro Elementary Teachers accept each change for
the betterment of themselves and for the sake of the learners who are aiming for quality education.

VI. Recommendation

Teachers should actively embrace a continuing effort in attaining profiency, Also apply a uniform
measure to assess teacher performance, and there should be a regular training to give them opportunity
in gaining new skills and knowledge to make positive changes .

that can be use in the new normal setup.
