WHAT IS YE?
he Youth Encounter is a Scripture-based formation
T program that seeks to form the youth into
community-builders for the Church and society. It is an
examination of one’s basic relationship with God, others,
oneself and one’s life situation, leading to a deeper
commitment in one’s family, group, school and parish.

The Y.E. insists that the young get to know and accept
themselves and their situation. It brings young people
closer to one another and offers different experiences of
prayer in order to give the young a taste of God’s presence.

Finally, the Y.E. places emphasis on the participation of the

young in the life of the Church, encouraging the young to
get involved in their dioceses and parishes.

WHAT ARE ITS OBJECTIVES?

The Y.E. aims for the following:

WHO CAN JOIN?
All Baptized and Confirmed Catholic youth aged 15-21
years old are eligible to join the Youth Encounter.
