Position: Senior Design Interface Coordinator
Reporting to: Design Manager and Senior Project Managers
Key Responsibilities:
• Attending regular or special interface meetings arranged and chaired by the
Employer’s Representative empowered to make agreements on interfaces as may be
necessary to monitor or resolve specific design issues
• Providing the Employer’s Representative with information and/or details of interfaces,
including copies of relevant correspondence and materials

Profile: The Taiwan High Speed Rail Project, under the BOT (Build-Operate-Transfer)
model, is being constructed and will be operated by the private sector. The construction
does not only represent one of the most challenging infrastructure projects in the world,
but also is the largest private sector invested public construction project at the time. The
planned high speed rail system is 345 km in length, passing 14 major cities and counties,
and 77 townships and regions, and is projected to commence revenue service by the end
of October 2006. The total construction investment needed is approximately

Position: Interface Staff – Civil Engineer
Reporting to: Interface Manager, General Construction Manager, Project
Manager/Director
Key Responsibilities:
• Organizing and controlling and/or proactively participating in Interface Meetings with
all parties interfacing with the Contractor and responding to, confirming and making
written agreements with regard to interfaces
• Attending regular or special interface meetings arranged and chaired by the
Employer’s Representative empowered to make agreements on interfaces as may be
necessary to monitor or resolve specific issues
• Providing the Employer’s Representative with information and/or details of interfaces,
including copies of relevant correspondence and materials
• Providing the Employer’s Representative with access to information for the purpose of
conducting audits on interface compliance and confirming that interface co-ordination
is proceeding consistently with the project’s requirements
• Anticipating the information needs of others and providing timely interface
information when requested
• Proactively assisting Interface Parties to assimilate new or revised developments
• Maintaining a log of interfaces developed with the Interfacing Parties as part of
THSRC Interface Management System-Master Interface Log

Position: Engineer II

Key Responsibilities:
• Design and plan preparation-undertaken design of simple span RCDG bridges
following AASHTO, ASTM, ACI codes and other accepted standards for design.
Performed design of box culverts, school buildings, public office buildings,
convention center etc. to be constructed in the covered regions (Region IV-A) of the
department either by manual calculations and use of STAAD or PCA software,
plumbing design and sewerage design
