Consumer Affairs Authority Act, No. 09 of 2003

Order Under Section 20(5)

Acting under the powers vested in it by Section 20(5) of the Consumer Affairs Authority Act, No. 09 of 2003, the
Consumer Affairs Authority Orders that no Medical Test Laboratory of a Hospital or a Medical Test Laboratory Center shall
charge, or levy any charges or fees directly or indirectly for conducting of the Laboratory Tests specified hereunder, above
the Maximum charge or fee specified herein.

Type of Laboratory Test Maximum Charge/Fee

Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) Rs. 6,500 per Test and Report
Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) Rs. 2,000 per Test and Report

This Order shall come into effect from 12th August, 2021.
