General:
With our BDMS (Bearing Distance Monitoring System) and our B TMS (Bearing Temperature Monitoring
system) the bearings of 2-Stroke Dies el engines are already well monitored and protected.
Due to additional monitoring of the splash oil temperature in the crank gear compartments with splash oil
temperature sensors (TGL00921-1), a more comprehensive protection of the engines is possible.

3 Operating steps: MDA312

1) Picture shows the cross head temperature and the main bearing temperature of
compartment/cylinder no.6

The Up/ Down button scrolls through the compartments for status indication.

2) Picture shows the main bearing temperature of bearing located in the chain drive
compartment – if a chain drive is available / installed (CD = chain drive)

To display the main bearing temperature in chain compartment, use the Up/Down button
until “CD” is shown in the compartment display .

Please note per each main bearing onc e only

(FWD or AFT side) the temperature will be
indicated.
In the pictures the main bearing in the chain
compartments is indicated under “MB-Temp B ”

4.) Picture show s the splash oil temperature of compartment/cylinder 2

According to the display sequence at first the main bearing temperature of compartment “1” is
shown. By using the “Up” button succe ssive the main bearing temperatures of compartment “2” till
compartment “xx” are shown (“xx” = max. numbers of cylinder).
After the main bearing temperature of the last cylinder the bearing temperature of the chain drive
compartment “CD” will show by using the “Up” button again – if a monitoring of the chain drive
compartment is available / installed.
After the bearing temperature in the chain drive compartment the splash oil temperature of the gear
drive compartment no.1 “S1” is shown when using the “Up” button again. By using the “Up” button
one after another the gear drive splash oil temperatures will show “S2” till “Sx”.
Hereafter the sequence starts again from the beginning with the main bearing temperature of
compartment 1.

Note: Scrolling backwards with the “Down” button is every time possible.
