READING COMPREHENSION QUESTIONS


It is important students read the information independently, and then
discuss it after reading. Here are some questions to help facilitate
discussions and understanding.

CYCLES 19-23
Part 1:
1. Could this information be true? Why or why not?
2. Do you like this story/ information? Why or why not?
3. Would you like to be a character from the story? Why or why not?

Part 2: KNOWLEDGE
1. Tell what the information /story is about.
2. Find the two most interesting sentences in the
story/information.

Part 3: COMPREHENSION
1. Locate sentences or phrases in the information you do
not understand and infer the meanings.

Part 4: APPLICATION
1. Give an example of someone you know who is like one of
the characters in the story / information.

Part 5: SYNTHESIS
1. What changes would you make to the story/
information?
