Standard Operating Procedure


(SOP) for
Online Campus Placements
SOPs for Job Seekers

1. Pre-placement Activities

• Job Seekers from Class 2020 {those yet to be placed] & Class 2021 to furnish an undertaking duly
signed to their RICs that this is their first attempt to seek employment and they are / were not
employed anywhere, anytime.
• Job Seekers will apply to the job vacancies posted for their streams through CMS.
• No requests of late applications will be entertained.
• Once a Jobseeker applies for a position, it implies that the terms of engagement (Job Roles and
Responsibilities, Location and Salary etc) are fully understood and are acceptable to the Jobseeker.
• The last date for applying in any company will be 12 noon the day before the date of scheduled day
for the company in that particular host campus or day before the announcement of assignments.
• Students will join What’s App group created for each company the Job Seeker has applied when
What’s App invite link to the companies for which the Job Seeker has applied is shared.
• Job Seekers will maintain the decorum of the What’s App group.
• Any violators will be removed from the group and will not be allowed to participate in the campus
placements.
• Job Seeker will keep their What’s App profile name as Campus Name-Course-Unique Id-CMS Name e.g.,
KGR-TD-1234-John Doe for the duration of placements.
• The campus abbreviations are as under:

• Students will install MS-Teams App in their laptop make sure that they have a stable internet
connection from the place they will be attending the online placements.
• No requests of poor internet connectivity will be entertained.
• Some companies will ask for assignment submission. Job Seekers will keep track of assignments, their
submission dates and mode of submissions. No request for late submissions will be entertained
• Any communication regarding Placements will be routed through respective departments. Students
will use their NIFT email ids for such communications. Emails from personal email ids or direct
communication to I&AA unit will not be responded to.

2. During Campus Placements

• Job Seekers will keep track of the meeting links, time schedule and time slots of each of the companies.
• They will join the meeting as per schedule.
• They should carry their NIFT Id and produce on demand.
• While interacting with the company, Job Seekers will keep their video on and ensure that their no
background noise.
• On completion of their interaction, they will mute themselves and will not interfere with the selection
process.
• If they are not required to be connected, they can leave the meeting and wait for further updates.
• Once the student is selected in a company, he will be barred from appearing for placements in any
other company and he will abstain from appearing in other companies.
• In case the student backs out/rejects the offer after the company has made the final offer; the student
will be debarred from applying further via Placement 2021.
• Once the student is debarred due to the reason cited above, the student will not be entitled to any
further discussion or request in this matter with any official at NIFT and the decision will be final and
binding for the student.
