Differences in air pollution can have effects on education and students when they are taking

exams, higher air pollution = lower test scores and vice versa.
Small patches of greenery can greatly improve the mental wellbeing of those living in cities.

Moving from a low pollution area to a city can significantly increase the chance that an individual
will develop lung disease, such as emphysema, which is associated with smokers.
Long term pollution can lead to an increased susceptibility of developing lung/ respiratory
disease. This is accelerated by the effects of coronavirus on the respiratory system.

It can affect the economy, it is harder to employ people in cities that have higher levels of air
pollution. For example, “In 2014, Panasonic became the first international company to offer
‘hardship posting’ compensation to expat employees in China because of the country’s air
quality.”
Air pollution can also cause residents to leave their homes in search of cleaner air. For example
“In Delhi, severe air pollution is causing a talent drain and a fall in property prices, while Beijing
is losing residents to ‘smog migration,’ as highly-educated people seek an escape from dirty
air.”

We need volunteers in order to plant 100,000 trees. We will have an estimate of 10,000 people
each planting 10 trees which is more than doable with Dubai's population of over 3 million

people. This will take place December 2021 because that will be good weather for planting trees

as it's not as hot.

The Emirates' ecological footprint measured 11.9 global hectares per person, compared
to 9.6 hectares per person for the United States and a global average of 2.2 hectares a
person. The country took the top spot because its energy consumption is high and
emissions are spread among a small population and for example in 2006, the UAE’s
population of around 6 million consumed nearly 500 billion kilowatt hours (kWh) of gas.
