 What I Know:
Daily challenges have existed ever since mankind started living here on Earth, but what
happens when the normal daily challenges become “new” normal daily challenges? During
these recent years of lockdown and quarantines, we have adjusted and found ways to adapt
and live through this new normal. With this new normal, we also encounter challenges that
makes our lives harder and stressful, adults and teenagers alike.

Some challenges for adults in these times of pandemic are; First, transportation fares, as there
is only a limited amount of people fit inside a vehicle, drivers need to raise the fares as they
are willing to risk their lives to transport other people which is a risk factor in acquiring
covid-19; Next, are working from home or losing a job; during the breakout of the pandemic,
lots of companies ordered their employees to work from home while others ceased all their
operations to reduce the risk and these just made adults’ working much more harder that
normal to earn money for their families; Lastly, is getting rid of old habits, these times we are
made to follow safety protocols that helps us reduce the risk of acquiring the virus but as they
say, “old habits die hard”. Teenagers also have their own challenges amidst this pandemic,
such as the distance learning, where students are made to self-study and learn on their own,
causing stress and fatigue to their bodies.

In conclusion, these new normal challenges are much more tough than those challenges
before pandemic. We need to adapt to the new way of living, working, going out, and
surviving, such challenges should help us adapt and learn much easier to this new era.
