This Service Bulletin is issued further to an operator's request.
(2) Objective/Action
This Service Bulletin consists in the installation of the wiring between Multi-Mode
Receiver-2 (MMR-2) and the Air Traffic Service Unit (ATSU) to get the time and the data
from the Global Positioning System (GPS) source (backup from the clock synchro).
(3) Advantages
Accomplishment of this Service Bulletin fulfills the operator's request.
(4) Operational/Maintenance Consequences

The technical content of this document is approved under the authority of the Design
Organisation Approval ref. EASA.21J.031.
If an aircraft listed in the applicability has a modification or repair embodied that is not
of AIRBUS origin, and which affects the content of this Service Bulletin, the operator
is responsible for obtaining approval by its airworthiness authority for any adaptation
necessary before incorporation of the Service Bulletin.
G. MANPOWER
The manpower estimates given in this Service Bulletin are based on the direct labor cost to
do the work. These estimates assume that the work will be done by experienced personnel,
and may need to be revised upwards to suit operator’s circumstances. The estimates do not
include the time to prepare, plan or inspect the work. Manufacture and procurement of parts
and tools, drying times for paints, sealants, etc., and general administration work are also
not included.

NOTE: For the basic Aircraft configuration, refer to AMM Chapter “Introduction -
Aircraft status for maintenance" in Manual Front Matter section.
(a) Make sure that the aircraft is electrically grounded, refer to Ref. AMM Task 12-34-
24-869-002.
(b) Remove the partition panels (Panel 131CW, Panel 131DW and Panel 132EW)
from the FWD cargo compartment, at Frame 24A for access, refer to Ref. AMM
Task 25-54-11-000-001.
(c) Do the job set-up procedure as specified in the removal of the ATSU (FIN 1TX1),
refer to Ref. AMM Task 46-21-34-000-001.

Procedure
(a) Standard Practices
1 For the cable tie application and tooling, refer to Ref. ESPM 20-33-44 and
Ref. ESPM 20-56-51.
2 For the general installation of electrical wire harnesses, refer to Ref. ESPM
20-33-00.
3 Tag all the parts you must remove and retain to make the subsequent
installation easier.
4 To install new wires, cut them to the necessary length, attach the terminals
and connect them.
5 For the shielding loop installation, refer to Ref. ESPM 20-42-21.
(b) Remove and retain the ATSU (FIN 1TX1), refer to Ref. AMM Task 46-21-34-000-
001.
(c) Modify the wiring in the aft electronic rack (Electrical Panel 80VU).
Refer to Ref. ESPM 20-33-00 and Ref. ESPM 20-42-21
1 Modify the connection of the wire(s) as shown on this (these) wiring
diagram(s) and the related hook-up chart(s):

(a) Make sure that the work areas are clean and clear of tools and other items of
equipment.
(b) Do the close-up procedure as specified in the installation of the ATSU (FIN 1TX1),
refer to Ref. AMM Task 46-21-34-400-001.
(c) Install the partition panels (Panel 131CW, Panel 131DW and Panel 132EW) in the
FWD cargo compartment, at Frame 24A, refer to Ref. AMM Task 25-54-11-400-
001.
(d) Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
