(2) Objective/Action
This Service Bulletin activates the ADS-B out DO-260B capability.
Compared to the ADS-B out DO-260, this function allows transmitting additional
parameters using the ATC transponder DO-260B capable.
This Service Bulletin adapts pin programming of ATC and T3CAS (if installed).
(3) Advantages
Accomplishment of this Service Bulletin fulfills the operator's request.
(4) Operational/Maintenance Consequences
The Operational/Maintenance Consequences of this Service Bulletin are covered by
the update of the affected publications detailed in "PLANNING INFORMATION".

WIRING IN A SATISFACTORY CONDITION (ELECTRICALLY AND MECHANICALLY
SERVICEABLE). WHEN YOU DO MAINTENANCE WORK, REPAIRS OR
MODIFICATIONS, ALWAYS KEEP ELECTRICAL WIRING, COMPONENTS AND
THE WORK AREA AS CLEAN AS POSSIBLE. TO DO THIS:
- PUT PROTECTION, SUCH AS PLASTIC SHEETING, CLOTHS, ETC., AS
NECESSARY ON WIRING AND COMPONENTS.

NOTE: Use a company route stored in the NAV DATA BASE. Set the
flight number manually in the MCDU if it is not displayed.
e On the switching panel Electrical Panel 8VU, make sure that the AIR
DATA selector switch is set to NORM.
f If possible, put the TEST UNIT - ATCRB, MODE S WITH ELS EHS
FUNCTIONS and the user manual in the cockpit.
NOTE: You can do this test automatically if:

- You use a test set that has the automatic test function
- You make sure that the automatic test procedure does
a test of all the parameters given in this procedure.
g Make sure that the test set is in correct condition.

h Connect the test antenna to the test set.
i Put the test antenna in position in the line of sight of the ATC1 (2)
bottom antenna only.
j On the center pedestal, on one MCDU, get the LGCIU 1 (2) page and
simulate a flight condition, refer to Ref. AMM Task 32-69-00-860-001.
NOTE: It is not necessary to do again the flight configuration

precautions with electrical power.
- Push the line key adjacent to the NOSE+LH+RH FLIGHT

NOTE: Simulation of flight automatically stops after a period of

approximately 5 min. When the aircraft goes back to the
ground configuration, the bottom antennas no longer
transmit squitters.

- Start the ATC system 1 (2).
- Set the ATC code 7776, or a different code given by your local
authorities, to keep the traffic interference to a minimum.

(2)Open the door on the face of the T/TISS computer.

(a)Make sure that the side of the card that has the part numbers is on the same side as the LED
panel.
(b)Align the card with the slot and push in firmly.

(4)The T/TISS computer starts again: all the LEDs come on.
(5)All LEDs go off and the DATA STATUS LED comes on green:
·the computer reads the Compact Flash card for approximately one minute.

(7)When the upload is completed, the DATA STATUS LED comes on green.
(8)When the upload is satisfactory, push the eject pushbutton and remove the Compact Flash card.

(4)The T/TISS computer starts again: all the LEDs come on.
(5)All LEDs go off and the DATA STATUS LED comes on green:
·the computer reads the Compact Flash card for approximately one minute.
(6)The DATA STATUS LED flashes:
·the computer is loading the contents of the Compact Flash card for more than 17 minutes.
(7)When the upload is completed, the DATA STATUS LED comes on green.
(8)When the upload is satisfactory, push the eject pushbutton and remove the Compact Flash card.

(9)Close the door on the face of the T/TISS computer.
(10)The computer starts again: all the LEDs come on.
(11)When all the LEDs go off, the T/TISS computer can operate.
