C. TUTORIAL CLASSES
Will be held for the entire class once a week in a common slot to be decided
D. EVALUATION OF THE COURSE
The final grade in the course will be awarded as per the following weightages to the
performance in different activities:
(i) 30% weightage will be given to the performance in Minor
(ii) 45% weightage to the performance in the 2-hour major test to be held at the end of the course.
(iii) 25 % weightage will be given for weekly assignments and surprise quizzes. Quizzes will be
held in the tutorial timings. No requizzes. The sub-distribution between quizzes and
assignments is to be decided later based on the honesty in assignments.
(iv) These weightages are tentative and could be changed by a tune of 5-10%.

Extra credits can be awarded by the instructor on the basis of exceptional performance in
lecture/tutorials.

E. Attendance Policy: One grade may be lowered if attendance is less

than 75%
