PROPOSED REPAIR OF INLINE PRESSURE BOOSTING PUMPS AND MAINTENANCE

WORKS TO RAIN WATER GOODS AT PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION

Supply, delivery and installation of the following as


maintenance service and parts to the Inline Pressure
boosting Pumps as Grundfos (As on site). The
maintenance servicing and repair should ensure
proper working and controling of the pumping system
and should be carried out as outlined. The work items
should ensure all the necessary supports, fittings and
accessories are restored to tproper working condition
and to the satisfaction of the Engineer. The bidder is
advised to visit the site and ascertain the conditions
prior to pricing

A Preliminary Works

Mobilize appropriate equipment, personnel and


materials for the works, Disconnect power supply to
the pumps and controls from the boards, examining
all cabling, accessories and breakers for soundness.

Provide all worn out and replaceable electrical
componenets. All float switching cables to be drawn
from their locations, examined and appropriately
replaced.

B Inline Pumps Servicing

Diasasembe the pump by switching off the pump


from the mains power through the local isolator,

Check the physical condition of the system to ensure
it is secure and undamaged

Specifically examine the condition of the inside of the


pump by removing and totally disassembling the
impellers, seals, bearings, valves and volute to asses

observed using appropriate cleaning liquids or
abbrassion tools in readiness for reassembly.

Identify any worn out parts under supervision of the

A Pump
Supply and install submersible borehole pump,
continuously rated and capable of pumping
10m³/hr of water against a total head of 300m.
The entire pump-set body, impellers, shaft etc
shall be made of heavy-duty stainless steel
material and shall be complete with submersible
cable, level controls and their cabling. The pump
shall be as "Grundfos SP 17-20" rated at 0.3kW
with a maximum assembly diameter of 130mm or
equal and approved.

Pumps control panel for control of the pump to 1 Set


allow automatic duty operation of the pump with
a manual switch override allow manual operation
of the pump. The panel to have an isolator switch
indicator, indicator lights for pump status,
ammeter, voltmeter, hour meter and main switch
and power available light indication for the panel.
The panel to have among other items, but not
limited to, over and under voltage, phase failure,
overload relays, connections for tank and
borehole level controls, and volt free contacts for
remote indication all housed in stove baked
enamel painted cabinet mounted on wall and with
a plastic envelope sheathed circuit wiring diagram
locked in the cabinet to the Engineers approval.
The Panel to be as "Dayliff CU Borehole control
unit"
