Nowadays technology plays an important role in human’s life and cell phone is

probably one of the greatest inventions that human ever created to gain access
to information. Not only adults involved in using cell phone but teenagers and
students also. And because of it popularity some people suggested that cell
phone should be used in education for its benefits. In my opinion I don’t think
cell phone is necessary in class for these reasons:
Firstly: it could cause distractions among students. A cell phone can easily turn
from teaching tool into classroom interruption. For example, when students use
phone to text to their friends, they could trade informations easily and help
each other in studies. But it could result in disruption and sometime annoying
for the teachers to tell their pupils turn off the device, especially while they are
explaining the lesson to other students. This can have negative impacts on the
relationship between teachers and students for students’ misuse.
As I’ve noticed students could text their friends in class to trade information for
study but texting each other could be used for another purpose- cheating in
exams. It’s very unfair for other student to receive bad result just because they
didn’t use phone to cheat.
Moreover, the use of phone could also lead to cyber-bullying. Cyberbullying
can be harder to see than any other forms of bullying, making it difficult for
teacher to find out when it happens, and if it does students will be effected
heavily both mentally and physically.
Last but not least, cell phone could have detrimental impacts on students’
communication and interaction. Learning to work in group is an important part
of students’ education and that can be lost with too much dependence on cell
phones and other digital technology.
Although cell phones can be an amazing and useful teaching tool in classroom
this only works if students use it effectively. This means for teacher who decide
to use cell phone as a part of their lesson or not it’s important to set grounds
rules and keep a close eye on how they are being used
