As the MSH RPG Unofficial Canon Project
creates all-digital products… meaning that we
aren’t limited by pre-defined page counts, one
would think that how in the world could we have
material that we cut from projects! However, in
this case, we actually do… material was written
for the New Warriors books that just didn’t seem
to fit in with the rest of it.
In the past, The Marvel-Phile was one of the best
resources for new and updated information
pertaining to the Marvel Super Heroes Role-
Playing Game. We are continuing that fine
tradition with the "New Marvel-Phile". We are
certain that each edition will bring something new
and exciting for those that still enjoy this great
game.

And so, you have what’s in your hand (well, ok,
your digital “hand”)! We present a selection of
lesser known villains from Nova’s past. A bird-
man! A man transformed! A sadistic
businessman! A cold-blooded killer! A world-
conqueror! And lastly, the creature who played a
part in Richard Rider being transformed into the
inter-galactic hero we know!
Let us know if you like what we are doing here, or
if you want to see something different. Requests

bank of 1970s looking computers,
made from Excellent material, is a
computerized device that allows him to
brainwash victims restrained (or
unconscious) at Remarkable ability.

Petrifying Pistol: Ex (20) material pistol
that fired an In (40) paralytic gas of
unknown origin or chemical
composition (Endurance feat to avoid)
up to 1 area. Ammo: 1, ROF: 1/2 if
reloading.
Avian staff: this Rm (30) material staff
of Avian origins looks like a plumbing
tube equipped with a handguard. It
emits a blue flame that acts as Energy
Generation, at touch range (Fighting
feat to strike) and inflicts Mn (75)
damage, as it once stunned the Thing
into unconsciousness. Ammo: 10,
ROF: 1/1.
'Space Spray': This spray of unknown
origins and chemicals grant's the power
Life Support at Am (60) rank, the power
drops 1 point per minute until it wears
off after 1 hour. The player gets the full
use and sffers no I'll effect as the power
dwindles, except of course until it
completely wears off...

Xandarian Force Field Pistol: this Rm
(30) material pistol of Xandarian origins
fires an Un (100) force field that if it
captures the target (Red dodge feat to
avoid) it starts off large enough for the
target to stand in and resembles a giant
soap bubble. With each passing hour,
the field gets smaller (Suggestion:
standing, squatting, kneeling, sitting
and finally form fitting...) and once it
reaches its smallest size (form fitting)
unless the target can break free and
escape the field, it inflicts power rank
damage compressing the target until
there is nothing left (death...), range: 3
areas (although once captured the
target can move and gets the benefit of
an Un (100) force field), ammo: 2.
Xandarian Mind Wipe Pistol: this Rm
(30) material pistol of Xandarian origins
fires a beam of unknown energy that, if
it strikes the target (Dodge feat to
avoid...) it scrambles the memory
centers of the targets mind with Rm
(30) ability (Psyche feat to avoid, red
feat: no effect to the player, yellow feat:
D10 hours lost, Green feat: D10 days
lost, White feat: complete memory loss,
leaving the player in a fugue state
unable to access talents or memories,
treat as a reason of Fb (2) for the
purposes of communication and all
other related functions. In order to
reverse this, the player has to have
access to a powerful psychic
(Professor X or the like) skilled in
restoring memories to such victims,
otherwise with direct GM intervention,
the character is lost. The power Total
memory, if above Rm (30) rank, acts as
a psychic defense (psi-screen) against
this attack.
Sonic Pulser: this Rm (30) material
weapon of Avian origins was adapted
and added to his bracers, used mostly
as a last ditch weapon the pulser has a
limited range and use before needing a
recharge: Sonic Generation: Am (50)
damage, 2 area range, ammo: 1, ROF:
1/1.
It should be noted if Condor
deploys this weapon, he is resistant to
its effects and not the effects of other
sonic attacks.
Space Shuttle: Use the stats for a
space shuttle from the Player’s
Handbook.

ROLE-PLAYING NOTES
The Condor is a huge control freak.
He's full of grandiose ideas about how
he should have more power, how his
plans are flawless and how everyone
should obey him to the letter. He talks
like a sophisticated, arrogant
megalomaniac and treats everyone
else as imbeciles.
HISTORY
The Condor is a rogue member of the
Avians, a reclusive race of winged
humanoids who are an offshoot of the
Inhumans. While most Avians live in
their hidden floating kingdom Sky
Island, Condor broke their laws by
venturing into the outside world with
advanced Avian technology. An
inventive genius, the Condor hoped to
be a famous scientist, but also
dreamed of becoming a powerful
crimelord. Converting a North Shore,
Long Island cavern into his high-tech
Condor Roost, he began spying on rival
criminal the Sphinx. Seeking allies,
Condor deceived and bullied the young
amnesiac extraterrestrial Rieg Davan
into becoming his reluctant criminal
accomplice as Powerhouse. Opposed
by novice superhero Nova (Rich Rider),
the duo formed a "Terrible Trio" with
brutal gem-bodied criminal
Diamondhead (Arch Dyker). They
briefly brainwashed Nova into working
with them as well, but he soon turned
on them and hindered their subsequent
assault on the Sphinx, whose traitorous
servant Kur accidentally shot Condor
with a mind-wiping beam while
targeting Sphinx. Deeming the Condor
useless now that he no longer had any
knowledge the Sphinx could acquire,
Sphinx transformed the apparently
mindless Condor into an actual condor,
which flew away.

Gradually regaining his intellect
years later, Condor befriended the
artificially evolved animals dubbed Ani-
Mates, notably Bird-Brain, who tried to
restore Condor to normal using Ani-
Mate technology. Condor regained
humanoid shape, but in a more
mutated, less human form. An
embittered Condor attacked Nova and
the hero's girlfriend Laura Dunham, but
he helped Nova save Dunham's life
when she was injured during the fight.
Thanking Nova for helping him
rediscover his humanity, Condor
departed. After considering a job offer
from the subversive Shadow
Consortium (soon defunct), Condor
learned the famous scientist Reed
Richards was aiding Nova. Jealous of
Richards and still resenting Nova,
Condor attacked them, but they
defeated him with the aid of Richards'
Fantastic Four teammates, sending
Condor to prison. Fearful of Condor
leaking Avian secrets and motivated by
Avian grievances against humankind,
Sky Island's leader, Red Raven,
launched an all-out Avian assault on
New York, intent on seizing Condor,
but Nova talked the Avians into
departing peacefully without Condor.
Eventually escaping, Condor placed
bets with the Bookie at a Manhattan
Bar with No Name, encountering
Spider-Man (Peter Parker).
Recaptured, Condor was sent to
Initiative Prison 42 in the extra-
dimensional Negative Zone. When
Negative Zone tyrant Blastaar and his
army laid siege to Prison 42, the prison
staff fled to Earth while the inmates
fought off Blastaar's forces for days.
Condor, Bison, Jack Flag, Arthur
Nagan and Skeleton Ki emerged as
unofficial leaders among the inmates,
though Flag turned on the others after
they decided to join Blastaar regardless
of any threat the tyrant posed to Earth.
Aided by cosmic heroes Star-Lord
(Peter Quill) and his Guardians of the
Galaxy, Jack fought off Condor and the
others long enough to escape while
Blastaar's forces seized the prison.
When the Initiative sent its Shadow
Initiative squad into the Negative Zone
to retake 42, inmates such as Nagan
and Condor helped Blastaar's troops
battle the invaders, but the Initiative
ultimately regained control of the
prison.

After his traumatic journey to the future,
and the changes made to him,
Megaman was extremely emotional,
switching between an overwhelming
rage at those he believed had wronged
him, and periods of lucidity, in which he
regretted the actions he had taken, and
just wanted to get his life back.
HISTORY
Nathan Cooper was transformed into
Megaman by an alien which saved his
life after he almost died in an accident.
He sought revenge on his nephew,
Caps Cooper for supposedly
abandoning him, in fact Caps had
believed him dead, and fought Nova.
He was horrified when he discovered

that the alien, which he believed had
been keeping him prisoner, was
actually in love with him. He was
captured by the enigmatic alien, the
Stranger, and was imprisoned in the
Stranger's Labworld for the alien to
study him. He remained there until
freed by Overmind.

found themselves locked in combat
when Nova remembered how the
newspapers accused Spider-Man of

decided they were on the same side
and actively began looking for the
actual killer. It wasn't long before Ralph
Rider's butler came forward stating he
had information leading to the
murderer’s identity, and while he was
privately speaking with the detective,
Photon appeared seeking to take the
butler's life. Spider-Man and Nova did
their best to stop the vile villain, but
Photon got the better of them and was
able to permanently silence the butler
before making his escape. After that,
Dean, Risk and Daze had all
disappeared, leaving the heroes
stumped.
The terrible trio, still suspects of
the pending investigation, were
awaiting to be transported away by the
forces of A.I.M. when Nova and Spider-
Man confronted them, but a battle
against overwhelming odds, and a
timely appearance from Photon, left the
do-gooders in dire peril. Chained to an
anchor and dropped into the sea, it
looked like it was the end for Nova and
Spider-Man, but tenacity and super
strength proved to be too much for their
bonds. They broke free and renewed
their pursuit of Photon. They traveled
back to Ralph Rider’s home and aided
the local law enforcement in defeating
A.I.M.'s soldiers, but they were almost
behind the eight ball again when
Photon took a hostage. The two heroes
thought fast and acted even faster, and
soon Photon was subdued before he
could take the life of another. Using the
clues left at the scene, especially a
revealing anagram left by the deceased
Ralph Rider, the mystery of Photon's
true identity came to an end when he
was exposed to be none other than
Jason Dean – now in police custody
where he'll presumably remain for the
foreseeable future.

Marissa's sister was a rape victim in the
infamous Tailhook scandal that caused
her to commit suicide. Marissa donned
the Tailhook costume and began killing
rapists. Nova originally thought his
girlfriend Laura Dunham was Tailhook
but later discovered that Tailhook
shared a mailbox with Laura at Yale
and Laura knew Marissa was Tailhook.
Marissa killed herself by jumping from a
building when Nova confronted her.
Marissa did not want to become a
media spectacle like her sister had
become.

Tyrannoid Body: During one period
Tyrannus had lost access to his
Fountain of Youth. In order to enact his
plans, Tyrannus mind swapped with
one of his Tyrannoid slaves and
reshaped his body to look like him. This
new form was slow to respond and
hard to control.

EQUIPMENT
Tyrannus has access to a multitude of
presumed Deviant technology that is
found throughout Subterranea. Along
with his Tyrannoids, Tyrannus has
found ways to use and adapt much of
this tech into weaponry.
Though he likely can find weapons and
tech that can simulate powers with up
to IN (40) ability, below are some
common items he uses:
Manipulator: EX(20) material strength.
Has the INCREDIBLE ability to transfer
bodies to a target within IN(40) range.
Two beings must operate the device

Tyrannus's army built a 70-foot robot
made for creating caves on top of the
surface world. The robot can be used
as transport for scores of travelers.

ROLE-PLAYING NOTES
Tyrannus is a madman with issues, he
wants to control eveything and
everyone falling back to the way that
the Roman Empire did things...

HISTORY
Romulus Augustulus was the last
emperor of the Roman Empire,
assuming the throne around the age of
twelve in 475 AD. Known to his foes as
"Tyrannus," he led Roman armies to
England to overthrow King Arthur but
had to contend with Camelot's defender
the Black Knight (Sir Percy of Scandia).
Unable to best the Black Knight in
battle, Tyrannus summoned up the
Roman god Pluto to aid him, but the
Black Knight held his own and drove
Pluto away. To punish Tyrannus, Merlin
teleported him to the underground
world of Subterranea, where he found a
Fountain of Youth and quickly became
the ruler of the Subterranean slaves
who had been created and abandoned
by the Deviants centuries ago. The
slaves became known as "Tyrannoids,"
after their new master.
In modern times, having stockpiled
a well-equipped military force in
Subterranea, Tyrannus began to set
into motion his plans to conquer the
surface world. Posing as an
archaeologist, he lured Betty Ross into
his clutches and took her prisoner,
using her to bargain with General Ross. Hulk the sanctuary of his realm in robot, and the X-Men brought him to
The Hulk (Bruce Banner) and Rick exchange for his aid against the Mole safety. Tyrannus again lost access to

After Kala helped him to defeat the
Mole Man, Tyrannus then turned on her
as well. However, he was undone when
the Mole Man unleashed the Fantastic
Four upon him, and he tried to flee
aboard the Mole Man's ship-- which
had been booby-trapped to explode.
After the explosion, Tyrannus
found that he could no longer prolong
his life with the Fountain of Youth and
set off to El Dorado to find a new
source of eternal life. Under the guise
of the aged man "Des," he became an
ally of the Keeper of the Flame and
Prince Rey. Des helped rekindle the
city's Sacred Flame of Life, a cobalt-
powered flame created millennia ago
by the Deviants as a potential weapon
against the Celestials. The three
agreed to build the Flame into an
enormously powerful energy source to
allow them to take over the world Rey
planned to use it to build a mighty war
machine to conquer the world, the
Keeper planned to act as spiritual
leader to the conquered people, while
Des, it was thought, planned to spend
his final years as grand vizier over all of
Earth's scientific resources. To this
end, they began a series of events
designed to cause violent geophysical
activity that would be transmitted
through the Earth's crust in such a way
as to stimulate the Flame. In most
cases, this involved supplying
technology to a number of criminals.
As 'They Who Wield Power," the
three helped sponsor the activities of
such beings as the Orb (Drake
Shannon), Stegron the Dinosaur Man,
Jinku (witch doctor of the Lava Men),
City-Stealers, Moses Magnum,
Absorbing Man, and Goldbug. At one
point, impatient with the slow progress
of rebuilding the Flame, Des/Tyrannus
sent his mental essence into one of his
Tyrannoids, causing it to take his form
and pose as him. The Tyrannus

subsequently buried by the Deviants.
Betty attempted to help Tyrannus come
to terms with the fact that he was
aging, and tried to teach him the
advantages of cosmetics, but when the
Hulk returned with the canteen and
poured it on the floor, Tyrannus
pathetically lapped it up from the
ground. After the Avengers helped the
Subterraneans defeat the Deviants,
Tyrannus set off to Netheria, having
learned that the people there enjoyed
eternal youth.
Having regained his youth and his
Tyrannoid armies, Tyrannus used his
machines to take control of the Hulk,
forcing him to assault people without
provocation, and transformed one of
his Tyrannoids to masquerade as the
Hulk in an assault on an airplane.
Tyrannus attempted to steal the Hulk's
energies for himself, but the
Tyrannoids, at last fed up with his rule,
