Draft Message of the Regional Director

Donning of Ranks
November 20, 2018/2:00PM

Appropriate Greetings!

Foremost, I would like to extend my

congratulations to our newly promoted
commissioned officers, PSSUPT REYNALDO S
OGAY, JR., PSSUPT EDWIN C BALLES and
PSSUPT EMMANUEL H REYES. We share with
you your success. You made the entire Police
Regional Office 1 proud! Your dedication and
determination to carry out your job notwithstanding
several challenges and pressures present in your
position have brought you up to the next level of
your career. Congratulations for a job well done!

Likewise, I would also like to congratulate the

family members, friends and colleagues who are
here today. Thank you for playing a significant role
in the promotion of your loved ones. Ang
tagumpay nila ngayon ay tagumpay din ninyo.

Every police officer trains to climb the ladder.

And today, your new rank insignia is a sign of your
upward climb in the police organization. Treasure
every moment of it, for it is the product of your
strong commitment, character and discipline in our
organization. Keep up the good work.

Your promotion, however, brings you not

privileges, but rather a greater responsibility. So
do not rest on your job instead, consider this as
the new beginning of what you are still meant to
achieve in the future. As heads of offices, I count
on your excellent service to the people we serve. I
want you to instill discipline all throughout your
entire life until you reach the ladder’s peak in
police service. Continue to soar high but never
forget what the Almighty has given you.
Theodore Roosevelt once said, “No man can
lead a public career really worth leading, no man
can act with rugged independence in serious
crises, nor strike at great abuses, nor afford to
make powerful and unscrupulous foes, if he is
himself vulnerable in his private character.”  I trust
that you will live up a dignified image and hold the
line of courage and integrity and exemplify the
general principles of public service with a sound
moral foundation.

Without much ado, I wish you the best of luck

as you savor your success. Once again,
congratulations on your well-deserved promotion.
