POLICIES AND PROTOCOL FOR TRANSFER OF

INVIDIDUALS EXHBITING COVID-19 SYMPTOMS INSIDE


THE CAMPUS

This section directs actions for screening, detection, and containment of COVID-19 suspected or
confirmed cases to prevent further transmission of the virus.

Policies
1. Students, faculty and staff who have COVID-19 symptoms shall stay at home and mist report
their conditions to their professors/supervisors.

2. Updated number of PESU, RHU, BRTTH-HEMS, LESU, BUPC-CMC, and other referral agency
shall be posted in visible areas in each classroom for immediate referral.

3. Students, faculty and staff in BUPC who will be involved in limited face-to-face classes shall be
oriented of algorithm in referral or transfer of individuals exhibiting signs and symptoms of
COVID-19.

4. Infographic for signs and symptoms of COVID-19 should be posted in bulletin boards and
conspicuous places. See Annex A.

5. An isolation room or facility within the campus shall be established, maintained, cleaned and
disinfected regularly to be made available if any instances needing it arises. See Annex B.

Protocol

1. If a student or faculty or staff shows signs and symptoms of COVID-19 while inside the campus
and after assessment was deemed as COVID-19 suspect case, the individual shall be transferred
immediately to an isolation room inside the campus while waiting to be transported to a health
facility or to his/her home. Other individuals exposed to the COVID-19 suspected case shall also
be isolated in a different room following Isolation protocols. (DOH Joint Memorandum Circular
No. 2021-001, 2021)

2. BUPC-CMC shall notify at once the individual’s family member who shall be requested to
transport him/her to health facility or back to his/her home.

3. BUPC-CMC shall provide the necessary assistance to ensure safe transport of the individual.

4. The BUPC CMC shall then conduct risk assessment management of the situation and implement
the appropriate health and safety protocols such as, contact tracing, cleaning and disinfection of
facilities and suspension of classes and operation as deemed necessary. Please see policy for
