Objectives:
The project aims to expand basic knowledge of the application of digital forensics in the examination of windows
artifacts and for them to know different ways to seize databases. Specifically, the project seeks to:
a. Give an overview of different investigative techniques and methods
b. Understand the importance of using digital forensic in the examination of windows artifacts
c. Share best practices and ensure common understanding and application of the standards

Narrative of the Activity:


The Students of Bachelor of Science in Criminology Program conducted a webinar about Digital Forensic
Examination of Windows Artifacts. The theme for the activity is "Learn Now, Be one Later". It was held on July 02, 2021,
from 9:00, am to 12:00 pm Via Zoom and Facebook live stream. It aims to expand basic knowledge of the application of
digital forensics in the examination of windows artifacts and to share best practices and ensure common understanding and
application of the standards.
For the preparation the project staff leader Ms. Dedray Hernandez distributed and assigned a task to her project staff
such as preparation of presentations, assigning speakers in the webinar, monitoring the Facebook Livestream and meeting
chatbox. The day before the webinar they conducted a dry run with the OJT Coordinator Ms.Elsie I. Montealegre to ensure
the preparedness and effectiveness of the event. The masters of the ceremony were Mr. Kevin Gomez and Ms. Dedray M.
Hernandez, who started the activity. The webinar started at exactly 9:15 am. The webinar policies are discussed by Mr.
Kevin Gomez to be followed by the Invocation and the Philippine National Anthem. They have experienced a technical
problem, playing the audio and video presentation of prayer and the national anthem because of the loss of internet

connection but they fixed it immediately and the event continues. The inspirational remarks and introduction of the speaker
were given by Mr. Almerian B. Tayobong OIC-Dean, Program Chairperson of Bachelor of Science in Criminology. The
resource speaker Mr. Dennis S. Lagumen came from Calayan Educational Foundation, Inc. Afterwards, the discussion and
presentation of the resource speaker started, and everyone was listening attentively. The speaker demonstrated how to use the
Magnet Action Forensic. He raised and answered questions from the participants in the webinar. The participants also have
their opportunities to ask questions regarding the topic. The awarding of the certificate is led by Ms. Dedray Hernandez. To
commemorate the very productive day everyone opened their camera to take a photo and give virtual applause to the speaker.
The closing remarks were ended by the project staff, criminology student, Mr. Iver Mulingbayan.
The event ended up successfully and achieved its aims for conducting event. Based on the result of the evaluation
form accomplished by the participants, the webinar is successful with a rate of The Webinar Series Topic 3 "Promoting
Excellence and Expertise in Digital Forensic Examination of Windows Artifacts: A Guide for Future Expert Witness did
their job and took their duties responsibly. This event could not be successful without the support of the OJT Coordinators.
