1) Use the notes to make sentences in the past simple or present perfect. The first one is

3) Punctuation.

Look at this part of a report. Identify the spellings and other punctuation errors.
Total projects worth more than INR 59000 billion are under development in India, most of which
would have been impacted severely by COVID-19. India’s goal of becoming a USD5 trillion economy

a) Your college has just finished its campus placements and the entire senior batch has secured
placements. As you are an active member of the placement team, the placement officer has
asked you submit a report on the placement activity. Follow the report writing format of
Introduction/SOP, Body and Closing.
REPORT ON THE ANALYSIS OF THE PLACEMENT ACTIVITY
Introduction:
The purpose of this report is to share information regarding the placement activity of the
entire batch. I have discussed the issue with a number of placed candidates and the
companies which offered placements.
Student’s View:
Most students I interviewed are happy about the job offers but some common queries were:
 Need to arrange mock sessions
 Providing complete data to the students about all the company and packages
beforehand.
Company’s View:
Most company appreciated the placement procedure and the common suggestions
regarding the procedure are:
 Need more bright candidates.
 To increase the competitive level of the placement procedure.
Conclusion and recommendation:
Clearly, there are many suggestions but also everyone is satisfied so, I think the placement
procedure needs to be developed.

b) There has been a huge fire in your office. Your boss has asked you to make a preliminary
investigation for the cause of fire and its impact. You have visited the site, interviewed the
people and made notes based on your observation. Now, write a formal report (between
120 – 180 words) which you would submit to your boss.

Massive fire – many materials of plastic – short circuit fire – stormy winds worsened situation – living
hell – 50 cabins gutted (destroyed) – fire brigade reached late – many people evacuated – no loss of
human life – loss of crores – employees not trained in handling fire calamity – committee to set up
proposing future preventive measure
