Play the eighth notes cleanly, making the short notes crisp and adding a little breath/weight to the long ones. The transition section leading to Deck the Halls (measure 14-17) should be played very legato. The same transition is used in measures 33-37, leading to the last ture’ in this arrangement, Jolly Old St. Nicholas. This Christmas favorite is treated in a lighter rock style and should be played with a relaxed feeling. The transition is again repeated, returning to Jingle Bells for the rousing close Note: to get a more authentic rock sound and feel, a drum set may be added to the percussion section and an electric bass may double the bass line.
