It is widely accepted that a large percentage of urinary tract

infections are caused by contaminated drainage systems.
First class products and care help prevent additional diseases
as well as secondary diseases. We want to provide you with
a choice of high quality and easy to use urine collection
systems for day and night, in order that this risk may be
minimised.

The Teleflex urine collection bags meet all the hygienic

demands whilst remaining economical with no compromise
to quality.

Our urine collection bags are characterised by outstanding

product features such as needle-free sampling ports, easy
to handle and hygienic non-drip outlet taps or a skin-friendly
fleece coating on the bag’s reverse side. Additionally, they
are all completely free of latex and so can be used even in
the presence of a latex allergy.

Needle-free urine NON-DRIP OUTLET TAPS

The sampling port helps to avoid
needle-stick injuries and reduces
the risk of infection. Due to its special
flat design it can be cleaned and
disinfected easily.
For taking a urine sample please
follow the local protocol recommen-
dation regarding the cleansing of the
sampling port. Afterwards please
press the tip of a Luer slip syringe
without needle into the centre of the
rubber stopper of the sampling port
until it penetrates and withdraw the
urine sample.
The outlet taps of our urine bags are
designed to be user-friendly. They are
suitable for single-handed use and for
individuals with compromised dexterity.
Our leg bags are supplied with an
integral extension tubing at the end of
the outlet tap to facilitate additional
connections.
In addition we offer a night bag with
a special slide tap. Once the tap is
lever taps opened for drainage, it cannot be
closed again. This ensures the bag is
discarded after drainage.

Furthermore, all our urine bags with
needle-free urine sampling port are
equipped with a specially designed
ridged universal connector with
protective cap – suitable for all common
catheters. The connector is tapered in
the opposite direction to which the
catheter is disconnected and thus
guarantees a secure connection with slide taps
the catheter funnel.

This night bag is featured with a specially designed slide

tap. The bar of the tap can only be pushed to the right side
in order to open it for emptying the bag. Thanks to its
special construction the user is not able to close the tap
again by pushing the bar to the left. The bag cannot be used
a second time. This ensures strict single use for one night.

Belly Bag
For those users who like to be out and about and want to
live an independent and active life the original Belly Bag® is
the ideal urine collection bag. It can be worn invisibly and
comfortably under the clothing like a bum bag which clearly
increases the user’s freedom of movement – the most discreet
way of performing urinary drainage for men and women.

The large capacity of 1000 ml allows a longer period

between emptying compared to conventional urine collection
bags, increases the freedom for mobile users, especially
when they are out on business, pleasure or travelling, and
makes for an undisturbed night sleep without the need for
additional urine bags. Having Belly Bag® close around the
body without long tubes also minimises the risk of acciden-
tally pulling the catheter out of the bladder. Belly Bag® can
be worn up to 28 days depending on the individual user’s
circumstances and the physician’s recommendation.
The only precondition for using Belly Bag® is a permanent
transurethral or suprapubic bladder catheter and a functioning
bladder musculature. As the level of the bag is above the
bladder, it requires a pressure of 6 cm H 2O * to transport the
urine from the bladder into the bag.
The Belly Bag® must not be used in combination with a
nephrostomy catheter.
Please consult your doctor prior to using Belly Bag®.
* The normal residual pressure in the bladder is 10 to 25 cm H 2O.
