PHYSIOTHERAPY AS A PROFFESION

Physiotherapy is a branch of medicine that deals with

optimization of performance through the use of physical means so
that individuals can achieve the maximum independence possible.
It’s a young profession that is growing at a high rate and involves
the use of heat, cold, physical exercises, body manipulations, and
soft and deep tissue massage.

It is used in treatment or management of soft tissue injuries

such as those sustained after an accident, stroke, cerebral palsy,
multiple sclerosis, low back pain, joint pains and neuropathic
pains. The ultimate objective of the physiotherapy is to improve
joint range of motion, balance and coordination, and increase
muscle strength and endurance as well as restoration of functional
activities.
