THEME : NEO-CLASSICAL
STYLE
Neoclassical style in interior design
● Bridging the gap between the traditional and contemporary,
● neoclassical design offers a rich method of self-expression that
differs from eclectic and transitional styles in a few important
ways.
● Neoclassical interiors embrace luxury – far from modest, but
careful to remain tasteful.
● It offers a playground for bold colors more than its transitional
pastel-hued neighbor.
● It requires a more curated approach to furniture than its distant
cousin the free-spirited eclectic.
● The interiors featured in this post range from those inspired by
Hollywood regency style all the way to a super-modern
interpretation with faint neoclassical influences.

● Elegance and sophistication

● More modest and muted than the conspicuous display of wealth
● Well loved for their timeless elegance

options to enhance the space:
1.Use of vertical elements:
❖ Vertical interior design is ideal for small spaces and
rooms with high ceilings.
❖ Simply raising the room design by taking full
advantage of the vertical space in our room
❖ Think of bookcases, art work, decorative wall panels
and other enhancements that visually expand a room
and offer alternatives for small space
❖ Design elements such as vertical gardens and panels
can be used to enhance the wall space of a room

theme, going even further on the modern side.

Reception area lighting design

The color temperature of the reception area

should be the same as that of the indoor
entrance, which not only echoes the
entrance, but more importantly, it is easier to
give the guests a good impression by
combining the warm service of the reception
staff. At the same time, considering that the
reception area is connected with the
settlement center, the requirements for
comparison are high for functional
considerations. It is very bright in the overall
lobby environment, which can also highlight
the importance of this area.

CONFERENCE

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE IN A CONFERENC

Businessman IT Professional Conservators Journalists Educators Students Authors

TYPES OF CONFERENCES

Academic conference Business conference Athletic conference News conference Settlement conference Parent-teacher conference
Setting up the perfect conference room

1. Before the purchasing aspect happens, first it is best to identify the purpose of the conference room. • Will the room be used for a large group or a small group? • What kind of
activities will take place in the room? Will it be used for secure agreements, brief staff/clients, solve a problem, exchange information, initiate policy or product launch? Knowing the
many ways you intend on using the space, helps the rest of the process move along smoother.
2. How many attendees are invited? • Is the room large enough to accommodate the furniture and attendees? • What style suits the event? • Does the furniture need to be modern,
traditional or modular?

Theatre Style Layout

With theatre style seating, chairs are placed in rows just like you would see in a theatre or cinema (although they aren’t usually tiered). If

you have a lot of people attending your event, or space in your meeting room is tight, then a theatre layout is likely to be the best option.

Bear in mind that this style of seating isn’t ideal if your delegates want to take lots of notes as they don’t have a surface to lean/write on, and delegates can
sometimes feel ‘squashed’ if chairs are placed too close together.
ENTRY
DOORS

Solid core timber can be found in many household doors, and is one of the most common material for hinged doors. Its sturdiness, beauty and
customisability all make this material a popular choice for front and rear entrances, as well as for interior doors. The wood may be painted, varnished or
left bare, depending on the purpose and style of the door. Solid core timber doors are relatively easy to install too.

How are solid core timber doors constructed?

In some solid core doors, layers of various thicknesses and grades of plywood are glued together and cut to size to form a core for two sheets of the
chosen wood, which are glued over the top with the edges finished in a matching woodIn others, the core consists of solid particleboard over which the
wood veneer is placed. Others still contain a core of solid pine, which is first laminated and then veneered.

How do solid core timber doors perform?

● Security – These doors are difficult to kick down, though the type of core that the door uses plays a large role in their strength.
● Weatherproofing – Solid core timber doors are able to be used externally, though they must be weatherproofed to prevent the wood from
expanding.
● Soundproofing – This varies based on the core used, but wooden doors will generally carry quite a lot of sound no matter what sort of core is
used.
● Cost – Wood is relatively inexpensive in comparison to other materials due to its popularity and abundance (it grows on trees, after all).
● Weight – Solid core timber doors don’t weigh a great deal, though again this depends a lot on the core filling.
● Thermal insulation – Wood is quite an effective insulator and will not translate heat or cold easily. It is flammable though.

FLOOR FINISHES

A floor finish is a general term for a permanent covering of a floor. It is expected to protect and extend the life of the floor while providing an attractive
appearance and slip resistant surface.

TERRAZO FLOORING

Terrazzo is a flooring material traditionally made by exposing marble chips on the surface of concrete and then polishing until smooth. However
terrazzo is now available in tile form. It’s often used in public buildings because it’s longlasting and can be refinished repeatedly.

WHY USE TERRAZO FLOORING?

• Extremely hard wearing • Easy to clean and maintain • Attractive in appearance • Flexible – can be designed to be in keeping with other architectural
features and colour schemes • Hygienic – suitable for some areas of food preparation and in hospitals • Cost effective – will outlive most other types of
hard flooring.

PROSCENIUM THEATRE STAGE

It is the most common form of theatre stages. In this particular stage, the audience is positioned in one area facing towards
the main stage, there is a distinct division between the audience and the stage. This division is created through the form of
an arch or some sort of frame- hence the name, Proscenium Arch. • Gives the audience a clear view and the one main focus
points towards the performers. • Allows much more realism and special effects/ lightingtricks and effects can easily be
concealed.
