Job Description

Position Title: Student Program Coordinator


Department: Family Ministry
Reports To: Student Director
Position Status: Part time, Non-Exempt (20 hours per week)
Effective: May 1, 2019

Position Summary:
The Student Program Coordinator works to implement the vision and strategies of Family Ministry by supporting
all aspects of the student ministry environments including curriculum, programs, resources and volunteers.

Responsibilities and Duties:


1. Serve as a primary communicator for the weekly student program with responsibility for delivering large
group messages to students in middle and/or high school.
2. Work closely with Student Director to manage and direct volunteer production teams (Worship, AV,
Teaching and Set Design) to deliver excellent weekly programs and special events.
3. Maintain complete and accurate records on each student and volunteer leader in CCB.
4. Ensure environments are appropriately setup and staffed for Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights.
5. Provide technical and administrative support for large group productions.
6. Communicate and enforce all safety and security policies.
7. Ensure that leaders are trained and prepared for service each week.
8. Maintain accurate weekly service schedule in CCB for volunteer leaders.
9. Purchase supplies required for weekly ministry programs.
10. Distribute weekly curriculum to volunteer leaders.
11. Plan and execute special events for students and families including camps and retreats.
12. Recognize and celebrate wins and provide encouragement to volunteer leaders.
13. Mediate and resolve conflict that may arise within your area of ministry.
14. Own your personal and professional development by spending time on your relationship with Jesus and
staying current with trends and methods through continuous learning and connecting with other leaders.

Skills and Requirements:


1. Mature Christian with a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
2. One-year experience in a management or leadership position (paid or volunteer) is preferred.
3. BA Degree in related area of study or ministry preferred but not required.
4. Previous experience in Student Ministry or Family Ministry preferred.
5. Excellent interpersonal skills with experience in conflict resolution.
6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
7. Strong organizational and administrative skills.
8. Competent in tools and technologies required to meet job requirements.
9. Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
10. Ability to recognize and maintain confidentiality as appropriate.
