About
NYEF Kathmandu Chapter was formed in 2016 and has been actively
doing events like Impact Talk series, Mentorship week, Masterclass and
other social events to enhance the entrepreneurial business ecosystem in
Kathmandu. Currently, we have more than 80 entrepreneurs as members
of the chapter

Who can Participate?
The startups can be from any sectors (Agriculture, Animal Husbandry,
Drinking water, Education & Skill Development, Energy, Enterprise
System, Environment, FinTech, Food Processing, Health & Wellness, Se-
curity, Space, Transport, Travel or any other sectors that would directly
impact Nepal’s economy).
All the registered startups will participate in the first session which will be
followed up by a detailed Q&A form. The organizers will be reviewing the
detailed form and shortlisting 15 startups for the second round. The 15
teams will participate in the orientation and mentorship sessions. After
these sessions, the teams will be presenting their ideas to the judges. Out
of the 15 teams, only 7 will be shortlisted for the final Demo Day. There will
be 4 awards given after the Demo.

3. The application form is to be filled in English only. The official language for this
award will be English.
4. By participating in the NYEF KTM Startup Awards, the entities agree to the use of
its name, website, photos, and videos for promotional purposes on NYEF’s website
and other promotional materials.
5. Any false information provided within the context of NYEF Startup Award by any
entity may result in the immediate elimination from the process.
6. The decisions of the jury and committee shall be final and binding. At the discre-
tion of the jury, awards may not be presented, if a deserving entity is not found.
7. All the entities shall sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) with NYEF.
8. NYEF KTM reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or
suspend the NYEF KTM Startup Award or not award any entity. NYEF KTM further
reserves the right to disqualify any candidate/entity that tampers with the submission
process, commits fraud or is in violation of criminal and/or civil laws.
9. NYEF KTM reserves the right to seek additional details and share necessary
information with other stakeholders.
10. Allowances shall not be paid to any entity for travel or presentation or preparation
of the pitch.
11. Dress code for the participants will be Business Professional at all times. (Note:
During the demo day and pitch, participants should be in formals or semi formals)
