Responsibilities :

● Client Coordination for a 3-month data retrieval exercise for approx. 850 TB Client data.
( Awarded Star of the Quarter for this exercise).

● Worked on over 50 Installation, Restore, Management and Issue resolution of DB2 DPF
databases.

● Mentoring a team of 5 in database recovery and restore thereby contributing to up-skilling

and improved group management.
 ● Implemented table and index compression leading to costs saving for the company
 DB2 fix pack installation and upgradation for databases successfully for ver 135 TB
databases.
 More than 140 databases supported.

Designation: Senior System Engineer Project: TDS-CPC (Income Tax India)

Description:

The TDSCPC is a national 5 year project which aims at providing the Indian tax payers a
facilitated online medium to pay tax .It had total 12 databases based n AIX and Linux
environments. The Project was supporting the TDSCPC website for TAX deductions at
source and is a constantly evolving entity.

Responsibilities :

 Worked on Installation and Creation of HADR Environment for the Project.

 Creating views and other DB2 objects depending upon the application group requirement.
 Alteration of objects definitions.
 Regular Backup and Recovery.
 Load and Unload utilities.
 Starting and stopping Db2 subsystems.
 Starting and stopping of databases, tablespaces, indexspaces .
 Monitoring the Object.
 Advise developers for best practice, rollout implementation support.
 Work with vendor L2 for tuning recommendations.
 Implement fixpacks and security patches when required.
 Participate in disaster recovery exercises.
 Familiar with Performance Expert and OPM (Optimal Performance Manager). Configure,
test and install.

Description:

The ABNAMRO project is the international bank operating in multiple countries across
the world. The project itself is outsourced to IBM and is being operated from multiple
locations across the world.

Responsibilities :

 DB2 UDB on AIX/Linux.

 Provide 24x7 on call support for production environment. Must work well under
pressure, generating solutions rapidly, and working with vendor L2 as required.
 Extensive experience with planning, documenting and performing upgrades and
migration, setting up new database environments. Design and plan upgrade strategies
including coordination with the applications and business users. Upgrade plans must
include checklist, milestones, complete checkout, and exercised fallback procedures.
 Experience in problem analysis and troubleshooting database related issues.
 Provide performance tuning support to development teams for resolving issues with
space usage, stored procedures, SQL Tuning and application monitoring.
 Analyze and tune SQL statements and indexes; make performance recommendations to
development teams.
 Understand metadata, metrics, trending, and automation.

 Deals with the goods manufactured in his circle and checks if there is any evasion
of excise duty by the manufacturers.
