Example 1
a. P dew point

Input the known components in Example 1

Choose the base method that will be used, in this simulation using PENG-ROB

After entering the component and selecting the base method, click “next” and select “Go to
simulation”
draw the flowsheet, in this simulation using mixer

In example 1 there is some data, then input the data such as temperature 50 oF, vapor fraction
1(dew point), mole-flow component, total flowrate.
In flash type choose “vapor fraction” and “Temperature” because we want to calculate the P dew
After that run the simulation
the results of the simulation (P dew) = 128.226 psia
b. P bubble
To calculate P bubble equal to P dew for components, the base method and flowsheet are
used. The only difference is the inputted vapor fraction data.
Input the known components in Example 1

Choose the base method that will be used, in this simulation using PENG-ROB
After entering the component and selecting the base method, click “next” and select “Go to
simulation”

draw the flowsheet, in this simulation using mixer

In example 1 there is some data, then input the data such as temperature 50 oF, vapor fraction 0
(bubble point), mole-flow component, total flowrate.
In flash type choose “vapor fraction” and “Temperature” because we want to calculate the P
bubble. After that run the simulation

The result of the simulation (P bubble = 366.23 psia)

Example 2

a. T bubble

Input the known components in Example 2

Choose the base method that will be used, in this simulation using PENG-ROB
After entering the component and selecting the base method, click “next” and select “Go to
simulation”

draw the flowsheet, in this simulation using mixer

In example 2 there is some data, then input the data such as pressure 100 psia, vapor fraction 0
(bubble point), mole-flow component, total flowrate.
In flash type choose “vapor fraction” and “Pressure” because we want to calculate the T bubble.

After that run the simulation

The Result of the simulation (T bubble = -54.8949 oC)

b. T dew point beserta komposisi cair

To calculate T dew equal to T bubble for components, the base method and flowsheet are
used. The only difference is the inputted vapor fraction data.

Input the known components in Example 2

Choose the base method that will be used, in this simulation using PENG-ROB

After entering the component and selecting the base method, click “next” and select “Go to
simulation”
draw the flowsheet, in this simulation using mixer

In example 2 there is some data, then input the data such as pressure 100 psia, vapor fraction 1
(dew point), mole-flow component, total flowrate.

In flash type choose “vapor fraction” and “Pressure” because we want to calculate the T bubble.
After that run the simulation
The Result of the simulation (T Dew = -52,1914 oC)
