SECTION 1 EARTHWORK

1.1 SITE CLEARING

The area to be covered by the Proposed 3 – BED ROOM RESIDENTIAL Building shall be cleared of
rubbish, loams, refuse, grass roots and other perishable or objectionable matter to a suitable sub-
grade. Also , soil poisoning & treatment shall be done to all areas affected by the excavation.

SECTION 2 CONCRETE WORKS

2.1 CONCRETE PROPORTION

CLASS A concrete shall consist of one (1) part cement to a total of six (6) parts of fine and coarse
aggregates measured separately. Class A concrete shall be used for all footings, beams and columns
and floor slab, and roof beams.

CLASS B concrete is for all concrete floors on fill shall consist of one (1) part cement to seven and
one half (7.5) parts of fine and coarse aggregate measured by the slump test method:
1.0 Floor on fill max 3” min 1”

SECTION 3 MASONRY

3.1 CEMENT MORTAR

Cement mortar shall be used as a base for casement plaster finish masonry and concrete walls and
for grouting masonry walls. The mixture of cement mortar to base use shall conform to the
following schedule:

CLASS A mortar shall consist one (1) part cement to two (2) parts sand and sufficient water to
conform a workable mixture.

CLASS B mortar shall consist of one (1) part cement to three (3) parts sand and sufficient water to
conform workable mixture.

3.2 MASONRY WALLS

3.2.1 Concrete Hollow Blocks (CHB)

1.0 Concrete hollow blocks 4” for all interior walls.
2.0 Concrete hollow blocks 6” THK for all exterior walls.
SECTION 4 CARPENTRY AND JOINERY WORK

QUALITY OF LUMBER
Lumber shall be the approved quality of the respective kinds for the various parts of the work,
well seasoned, thoroughly dry, and free from large loose or unsound knots, sups, shakes, and
other imperfections impairing its strength, durability or appearance. All finishing lumber shall be
completely dried and shall not contain more than 14% moisture.

SECTION 5 ROOFING

5.1 ROOF SHEETING

Roof sheeting shall be gage #26 pre-painted long span “Twin Rib” G.I. roofing w/ rubber foam
closure strip for gaps and flashings. Layout the sheets in a manner that the side overlap faces
away from the prevailing wind. Provide not less that 0.30m develop on ends and not less than
1.5 corrugation side laps on both side. Secure the roofing sheets to purlins by required hex
head, self-drilling, self-tapping screws w/ neoprene washings, or equivalent.

5.2 FLUSHING
All flushing shall be gage #26 pre-painted G.I. sheet.
