Reflection on Coaching and Mentoring

Coaching and mentoring is an integral part for effective teaching endeavor. Through

coaching and mentoring, I learned to become more active, participative, and collaboratively

engage in the teaching-learning process. Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, I have seen how

the language teachers are readily responsive in facing the hurdles of new normal of

education because we are equipped with the needed knowledge, skills, attitudes and values

through coaching and mentoring. I knew that learning was inherent within coaching and

mentoring process and so, teaching is a lifelong learning. I gained transformational learning

rooted deeply in coaching and mentoring. With coaching and mentoring, the course of

learning to the students will establish meaningful goals because the teachers draw their

teaching-learning experiences from coaching and mentoring. Thus, the escalating success of

coaching and mentoring and the significant potential they hold as a vehicle for effective

teaching has a great impact to the learning of our students.
